Hey guys,
It’s almost new bike time for me and i’m having trouble choosing… I currently have a matching pair of 2019 YZF’s (250 and 450) and trying to decide whether to go 2022 YZ’s or 2022 CRF’s, im used to the YZ but i’ve heard a lot of good about the CRF
As a big rider (6’5) a bike that can accommodate my size well and be comfortable is my main thought when moving to another brand.
Has anyone made the Yamaha to Honda switch and what are the pros and cons?
Cheers 🥂

I like the ergo’s on the Honda much better, although, at your size I’m going to suggest staying Yamaha, the Honda does feel smaller to me.
Quality of design and components are much nicer on the Honda than my Yamaha.
Hope this helps you out, I really doubt you could go wrong regardless.
And i feel the huge torque was here from IDLE to the maximum i could reach on this circuit. But it was nothing smooth at very low RPM and not so fun on very sharp corner (most of the track)....in fact i was using the clutch for taming the beast....
So the YAMAHA is "worst" than that on bottom end ??
I want if possible a lighter and freer fealing that this KTM.....so i am hesitating between yami, honda, and kawi

You won’t find any 250f’s with less low end hit than the ktm 250sxf. I’ve rode them all but that is JMO so take that with a grain of salt lol.
You shouldn't be using the clutch to "tame " the motor. Ride the bike a gear higher and use the clutch to modulate the power.
Having low end power on a 250 is nice because you can ride a gear higher and shift less(similar to how a 450 is ridden)
As you progress and get better you will want more and more low end power.
