I am a huge fan of them both, I have a brother im very close to and as much as I don’t want to say it, the things you said resonate for me as well. I have felt so bummed since the first moto yesterday. Jett is a really kind person IMO and I think he did what he felt was right but I’m not sure there was a “right” other than to race his hardest which would’ve ripped away another championship from Hunter…it’s honestly a lose lose for them both after Deegans crash took HJ down.

I woke up today and felt empty... both fights fizzled out into nothing, and we were left with more questions than answers. Not anything against Hunta at all. It was painful to watch Jett, and they kept the camera on him a lot. Jett got his first "bad" start after qualifying great. Struggled to even put in a decent lap for half the moto, then picked up the pace when Hunter was by. But didn't take too many spots in the first moto. The 2nd moto was a lot easier for Jett "to manage" since Hunter and him were together from the beginning. Essentially we have two possibilities. Either Jett was hurt and did his best or he threw the race. You can make a strong case for he was hurt. Obvious reasons. You can make a case for he started throwing the championship at unadilla when Hunter crashed going down the hill. There's evidence for both sides of the argument. And that's life in a nutshell. We don't have to be divided over this though like we usually are

I agree with everything you just wrote. But as I said in another thread, now that Hunter has a premier class championship, no more Mulligans. He's going to have to close them out on his own.

I agree with everything you’re saying but it’s more than just an eyebrow raiser, I think it’s pretty obvious given what we all saw. I’ve not lost an ounce of respect for them and I picked Hunter to win the championship anyways, so it worked out. Within the first ten minutes I think it became clear what was taking place. If Deegan wouldn’t have taken Hunter out we probably wouldn’t even be discussing this today but he did and I think it changed things.
