Who do you think is the most popular rider among the general population? I've heard a couple people mention Jeremy McGrath that I would have never expected them to know anything about motocross. I'd say that it is either Carmichael or McGrath, and disregarding their fame else ware...

1/16/2012 8:03pm I think what's more realistic than that is to just say he didn't enjoy spending the daily grind in racing. He could definitely stay focused for 20 laps, it's through the seasons and years that got to him.
You can't honestly say that he can't stay focused because of ADD, considering he's a multi-time champion in rally, which I would...

1/15/2012 10:57am I feel like they all need to ditch the black on black look, and get some actual suits with real collared shirts underneath. I watch other big name sports and the commentators actually look professional. This sport doesn't. Feels like the commentators should at least dress with a jacket, white collared shirt, and tie.

1/14/2012 12:58pm Rhythm lane jumps are 3 feet tall, the larger jumps in the lanes are 5 feet tall. The distances between jumps in rhythm lanes are around 25-30 feet, depending on the arrangement. Whoops are usually 8 feet apart, and triples are 72 feet. Not sure how far the finish doubles are, I think they're around 55 feet.

So what about pure MX/SX riders? Pastrana made 75% of his fanbase off of X-Games. What about just pure 100% racers?

9/21/2011 11:01pm Dudes in shape. Just looking at him he's rugged. You wouldn't think being in shape would help avoid injuries, but as your body is better managed it becomes more able to handle impacts and be stronger in preventing injury, and Metcalfe is in one of the best physical shapes compared to the rest of the pro ranks.

9/18/2011 12:25pm I think there should be a mixed FIM-AMA race, inviting the top 10 AMA riders, versus the top 10 FIM riders. Half a gate to make it fair for everyone. That way no one can complain about getting a 'bad' start. Just run 10 AMA vs. 10 FIM. Top finishing riders in both series at the end of the season...

Here's a video of it, not my video, but I'm pretty proud of the track. Needs a little graphical update though. Spent forever on it, like nearly a year on and off.

7/13/2011 5:58pm Are you looking at full detail on single player, or having a 40 rider gate? Because it ranges from a pretty average 6 year old computer, to a damn supercomputer.
