I guess I am a weekend warrior. Pretty much a vet C or slow B on a perfect day and everything must feel right. I used to have a 2006 Yamaha 250 2 stroke for 6 long years. Now I have a 2013 KTM 250sx. Currently looking forward to get a 2017 250sx. Yes... I am a 2 stroke fan. I have tried 4 strokes and even though they are very powerful, they don't feel right to me or are not as fun to ride. I have more fun on a 2 stroke and I think that is why we all ride... to have fun. Braapppp

Good looking KTM lumpdog :-) about your issues... I had them as well. I put a little bit of yamabond 5?? The black one.. sorry, I'm not at home. Amyway... I put yamabond on the bottom of the cover and it helps a lot to keep the ignition clean. About the spring... I broke it as well like 4 times...

You know what? I knew that theory but my old fart brain of mine somehow never thought of decreasing the sag to make the bike more balanced with the front. I will try that as well. Duddeeee... is like if I wrote that myself... lol. OK... I tested some more. Tested Sunday on a Sandy track at 75-82°, 40:1, 93 pump gas. MJ 460, pilot 42.5, needle 34-73, 3rd pos, AS only 3/4 out... yes... 3/4 out... the bike was still not perfect. Ithe waso a hair lean. I think you are right riv... in sand...

I used to have a 13 KTM 250sx... I tried all 3 springs and played with different settings... I ended up with the red one at flush level....loved it. If I went out all the way... the power was too abrupt and tired me up quicker. Just my 2 cents. Braapppp

Joko... I had 2 2006 yz250 for a total of 6 years. I changed, played, modified anything you could think of on those yamahas. Awesome bikes, super suspension and very reliables. Then I bought a 2013 KTM 250sx which I kept for 3 years. Loved this bike. IMO... after my suspension was redone to my skills and weight... the KTM...
