Did he though? Laps 7, 8, and 9 are pretty similar for Joey, with 9 being the fastest of the bunch. Lap 10 is when he took the joker lane. Joey's joker lane time in the last race (1:14.276) was faster than the first race (1:14.637), but slower than the second (1:12.895). Point being, it's hard to conclude that he slowed down. Meanwhile, in the second half of race 3 (once he cleared most of the traffic), Tomac simply ran Joey down. The lap times are right there. Would he have caught (yes) and passed Joey (maybe)? Again, it's hard...
