He's had Showa on most of his bikes for a while. I figured he was just sticking with what he knows/ what he can get the most support with. He and RV are the only guys I know that make this switch. RV is back with KYB though. A kit Showa is going to be better than stock KYB. Barely. lol

If he holeshots, does he take MC’s record?

No. Monster Cup isn't an AMA sanctioned race. Under AMA rules a 325cc 2t would be illegal.

Does he run #76?

Old MXer turned Superfan.

No. He'll run the 800 for MEC. Again, it's not a sanctioned race so he can run the 800.

Alessi will be on this Kit..........a New Cylinder called "Capturing Efficiency Optimized" (CEO) 325 Kit that place 2nd. at the World 2-Stroke Championships! All ESR Kits have a slight delay for Traction Response, and this New Kit is supposed to have a Lot Broader Power Band than the older version I have, which is way better than a 250.

He will be about 15-20 lbs Lighter, and with a lot less of an Engine Gyroscopic Effect, so that will help but it won't match a 450.

He should do well, Top 10 perhaps. But seasoned YOUNGER Pros will be very hard to beat.

Wonder how fast it goes

Good for the 800...hope he does great and holeshots all 3 heats.

|

10/12/2019 1:09 PM

Hope he holeshots all 3 races And leads all kind of laps, because the bike he is on is better than anything else out there.

Not saying it is going to happen or that his bike Is better than anything else out there, but a 2-stoke lover can dream, can't he?

The holeshot king has no chance of a holeshot on that bike against a factory 450 on vegas dirt. I would love to see it, but 10th would be about right for a guy who is the best in the world at starts.

A 2 stroke on the metal grate start seems like it would be at a huge disadvantage against the torque of a 4 stroke.

Saw a clip of him practicing starts next to Friese and he's holding his own. Pretty even.

Alessi could holeshot on a Moped. With the rider field being fairly scarce, I wouldn't be shocked to see him top 10 and maybe even leading early in a moto.

Interesting because Friese is no slouch when it comes to starts.

I was there a few years ago when stank dog raced a smoker. His comments were he forgot how hard it is to ride sx on a 2 stroke.

I think a bunch of the fast guys that rode them either said close to that or at least agreed with that after RBSR.
