My boy is the same age and rode with Knox a few times at their kids track. I wouldn't say we know him but he seemed like a nice kid, mom too. Never really met the dad there. Now I will say, I was looking at getting my boy in their afternoon training sessions but having second thoughts now. Too bad Eddie didn't just come clean and admit he messed up big time. I used to run Maxima throughout, but after working for Bel-Ray almost 20 years ago and seeing the testing they do, I like most of their stuff better. Here's my current breakdown and why I use it: Premix: Maxima K-2. (I have a hard time finding Bel-Ray H1R in SoCal. I would prefer to use that, but these two are close approximations.) Transmission: Ecstar R5000 in 10W-40. (It is basically Yamalube with a few tiny tweaks. Again, I'd prefer Bel-Ray Gear Saver but it's hard to find.) Chain Lube: Bel-Ray Super Clean. How many times has Rotella been reformulated since then? I have heard it isn't great diesel engine oil anymore and hasn’t been for years. With people changing oil every hour or two it probably works fine. Try to go 10-15 hours like all the manufacturers say, and I bet you start having issues. I don’t like the clutch feel with it so I stopped using it for that reason.

Motul 300V with oil changes every 5 hours. Every 10 hours I also change the oil filter. Has been a great set up for the past several years.

Gearbox: Rotella T4, TwoStroke: Motul 800, Brake Fluid: Motul RBF 600, Filter Oil: Maxima FFT, Grease: Motul squeeze tube and Maxima tub These have been my staples for decades.

Maxima for everything. I was all over the board for oils, but I've been sticking to one brand as of late.
