Yamaha doesn't need chassis development on the 2 stroker, even their 20 year old design is light years ahead of any of the offerings dudes are riding in hard enduro currently. I mean, dudes buy KTMs then spend $2k just to have forks similar to a Yamaha. I don't know that I'm confident it'll lead to a bunch of development either but we'll see. It was interesting to hear Cody say there is a GYTR e-start kit coming for the YZ 250, that in itself is pretty awesome and will get more people on YZs for off road.

Some of that for sure. I do still see people asking 8-9k for used kx450s while I can get a 24 from a dealer for under 7, so I still think there’s inventory that should hit the market.

Ktm $150 a win. Can do as many classes as you want. When we were on 65’s and 85’s he’d do 5 classes and has got up to $750 in a day. Bought one 2025 85 6 weeks ago with just contingency Now we’re on 85’s only so the most classes he can race is 2-3 depending on how they classify the age

My dealership willing to print certain pages of the service manual for me but there is an option to buy it online just no printed version. Even my owner's manual was online not a big fan I'm old school like printed LOL

Yes, you need all depts. to be making money. Parts, service, F&I, sales. I did it for years. Motorcycles are cool, most people are cool, our sport is cool. The power sports business is not very cool. I don't miss it much.

There really is a surprisingly small amount of margin on a dirt bike. If a bike sits on the floor with dealer financing interest piling up, it isn't long until a bike is being sold at a loss. You've got to make money on parts, service, and accessories to be able to afford to sell bikes.

For every unit you sell a small % is held back by the oem . At the end of the year when you attend the dealer meeting, to order next years product, you get a "hold back check" . Without that money a lot of dealer would not survive. A dealer sales department is critical.
