Mine started on a JR50 at 3 1/2 & he just bought a 2024 YZ250 at the start of this season at 30 years old. Both of us are professional practice track riders now & we have a great time together every time we ride. We spend more time on our street bikes lately since it's a 2 hour+ tow to get to our favorite riding area now. Riding together is one of the reasons we're so close now.

Both my girls ride but my youngest is a real moto head! That girl just loves to be on her bike.

All 3 of mine have been to Loretta's. The youngest is 23 still races, but recently married. The oldest 39 still rides but hasn't raced for a few years. Both are on 2023 KX450's. She was probably the most gifted and picked it up quickly.

I just didn't address that part of it, you're not wrong there either but it's also not a blanket statement. I race at a place several times a year that is private property but is leased for riding through a grant from the State, that Club did exactly what you're saying dirt bikers don't do. I 100% agree though that we are our own worst enemy....and ironically my thoughts there go back to riding on Public Land which was brought up earlier in this thread. All the Cody Webb wannabes out there that think they can ride hard enduro and...

If you get off at 90 there is not much difference. Typically the trail is compacted and frozen. That is the idea behind grooming at least. Most of the time the killer is a tree or another vehicle.
