The Ohlins forks are very plush. Much appreciated when you are an old guy! HAHA!. Just got back from Pala yesterday and they are just right. Soaks up the big stuff (mistakes!) without being harsh and the little ripples and rocks just go away. The shock works just as well but Bones is trying different settings. I don't know if...

Bones put a bladder kit in the rear shock and anodized the reservoir. Pro Circuit also has me running a special sized triangle lever they are making along with their longer pullrod. The shock is revalved as the ratio is more like the Japanese bikes, 3.5:1 ratio than the previous new KTM 2.5:1 ratio. The shock spring gets a higher...

Hey swatdoc, That is too bad, those clamps look great. I didn't want to weld a post. The Ride Engineering mount fits fairly cleanly except for the Indicator Light. Does that aluminum spacer mount with the bolt going all the way through, or is there a bolt on the back of it to mount to the triple clamp. I want...

About that aluminum piece that mounts the FI indicator light to the upper clamp............ The stock setup mounts directly to the clamp with a shouldered bolt, but I have the Ride Engineering mount for the Showa (Honda) stabilizers that gets in the way of the lower part of the plastic light piece during bar movements. They recommend remounting the white...

They are from Race Tech Titanium (www.racetechtitanium). Their fork guard bolts have the shoulder on them and also replace the side number plate bolts, battery box bolt as well as the left side clamp above. The regular drilled flange fits the front number plate and several other places.

I tried my '06 Ohlins that were from my '04 450 EXC on the my new 450 FE. They went on perfectly and if you use the old spacers (for the larger diameter axle) the new wheel bolts up correctly, including the brake caliper. For the hour meter mount, the bolt on the left is the same as the fork...

I finally got around to totally restoring my 2004 KTM 450 EXC. It had many off-road miles with several Colorado 400 rides, as well as many motocross trips . I had to stay off the bike for a year after my heart attack due to blood thinners, so I squeezed in the time during this SX and MX season to...

Maybe if I had an office, that might be an option, but since I practice in an Emergency Room only, it is sort of hard to barter! I could see asking an OEM guy if I could get a deal on some parts while he is having a heart attack. Not really the time!! (Sarcasm included!). Nearly all the Industry...

HA! I haven't thought about The Moto Show for a while! That was fun. We gave the name to another group to use, but it didn't get too far.

I used my old Campbell Hausfeld compressor. It has 5hp and 20 gallon tank. I run the soda blaster at 90psi and the comp is rated for 6.3 CFM at 90 psi. The soda blaster tank has about a three foot hose with a ceramic nozzle tip at the end. The tank has its own regulator and an on/off valve...

I wanted to restore this before getting a new one this year. I can't decide if I want to part with this one now, but I am waiting for the new 450 Factory model, hopefully coming soon!
