Hey guys I'm putting together a few parts for my '16 350 I have in order. Got these in the other day and see that it only has one of the aluminum spacers with bolt on the top clamp up by the patent number. Am I supposed to have two of these - one for the other side as well? Not sure what it's for since I don't have my bike yet.
Thanx

Nope. Number plate is held on by the center bolt. The ones on the side can hold an hour meter bracket. I don't think there's anything in mine.

I believe there might be a fuel injection light on those bikes right there. I'm not sure I've never been up close to a new KTM, just seen a few at the track

Yup. The four strokes have one right there. Was forgetting what went there. But that's it.

The galvanized bolts look out of place on those beautiful anodized triple clamps.
You can get titanium bolts on eBay or Aliexpress. Ti bolts would finish it off nicely.

Ok great thanks guys.
Yea some spiffy Ti bolts would look nice!
Got new Dubya wheels waiting too. Waiting for companies like Cycra, Rekluse, TM Designworks, etc to get their products out. CV forks ordered from Billy. Already have a set of Ohlins w/ Hucks to try out.
Debating what to do for rear shock. Jeremy swears I don't need Trax, that he can get the stocker working great so I'll prob try that first

Are the Ohlins for the 16 or are they from an earlier model? reason I ask is that I have a set on my 13 300sx, that at one stage was thinking of fitting on my 16 350 when it arrives.
Instead I am fitting them to my sons 15, 250 SXF.

Keep in mind that money on a revalve is lost if you are unhappy or when you go to sell the bike. A traxx shock retains a great deal of its value. Same with Ohlins. I think I lost $600 total to ride Ohlins fork and shock. I had more than that in a revalve with springs and parts.

The resale value is a big reason I'm a fan of skipping revalves and going to kit suspension. Superior suspension for roughly the same price in the end. And then if it fits the new bike, I can take it with me without another investment.

Congrats on the bike.

I tried my '06 Ohlins that were from my '04 450 EXC on the my new 450 FE. They went on perfectly and if you use the old spacers (for the larger diameter axle) the new wheel bolts up correctly, including the brake caliper.

For the hour meter mount, the bolt on the left is the same as the fork guard bolts that have a shoulder, the one on the right is a plain flange bolt. The clamp itself has a small step on the left also.

Only difference is the fork lugs were pulled in two millimeters on the 2015's. It replicates going to a 20mm offset triple clamp.

Tony the Ohlins are the new offset. I was using them on a 2012 EXC500 until my 350 comes in. Just had to use diff axle and spacers.
That is a very valid point Shane. Another reason or me to buy good stuff right from the beginning is shipping costs. To ship a set of forks back and forth to the mainland from Hawaii is about $200. If I have to send them in 2-3 times to get them right you can see the costs add up very quickly. Even if the company doesn't charge extra for redoing the revalve, the shipping kills me.
I will definitely reconsider a Trax

That's the bracket that's stock on the 2015.5 FE bikes. Should be available through KTM.

The clamps look great, might have to invest in a set.

The other problem I have is I have promised the ohlins shock and forks for my sons 15 250 sxf, with a revalve to take into account the 30 kg differece between us.
So trying to tell him I need the forks might be a mission.

The Nekens are all 22mm offset as far as I know, so they will fit all the 15's and 16's. Only thing KTM changed on the clamps for '16 was the rubber bar mounts

They are from Race Tech Titanium (www.racetechtitanium). Their fork guard bolts have the shoulder on them and also replace the side number plate bolts, battery box bolt as well as the left side clamp above. The regular drilled flange fits the front number plate and several other places.

Not sure if the Neken fits the 16. I've heard yes and I've heard no due to frame clearance issues. The xtrig triple clamps work on both though.

I tried to switch the clamps from 14.5fe(15) to the 15.5(16). The air chambers hit the frame, so doesn't fit. If screw the a steering stops out enough to keep from hitting, you lose to much steering radius.

Well crap now I'm worried these damn things might not fit my new bike!!

B-Evans I'm assuming your bike was a 450?
(No FE 250 last year)
My 350 will have the same frame as the 250 so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

You guys make me so jealous. I feel like a kid in a candy factory getting a low hour 2014 RM-Z and getting the FC suspension that was already on it set up for me. I don't even have numbers on the dang thing and had to run some of those fugly stick on numbers for my race last weekend. I'd love to be able to buy a brand new bike and drop a couple thousand on goodies for it.

Enjoy it!

The '16 clamps are different. I already went through this... They are only selling the top/ bottom clamps together this year and they retail for $1100.00

I sold my champs from my '14.4 FE 460 for $600. Then had to buy the new version.

Langham could you post a pic of your '16 clamps so I can see if I got the correct ones. And do you have a part number?

And yes... The Ti bolts look nice with the clamps.
