If you're racing faster guys it's pretty tough to compete on anything but a European bike, these old Hondas are fun and handle well but holy hell are they SLOW. You can see off the start, I'm honestly shocked I got out of the gate as well as I did but those orange bikes just out pull everything. Mine has the Keihn carb swap as well as some cleaned up ports but that's about it, zero chance of getting over that big step-up they added in the back section this year after the rollers.

I grew up in sac/Elk Grove 15 min from hangtown until 07. I never liked hangtown. Always sucked there too. Dry, hot, ugly lol I always loved marysville especially Thursday nights, and Livermore was great.

Help me out here, which brand makes pants that will actually cover my ass crack and allow some breathing room up front? Every brand I try, same exact result, even if I go two sizes up. This seems to be a real epidemic that is sweeping the moto nation. Absurdly low-rise, Paris Hilton esque, skinny jean pants that fall down the second you lean forward. What is going on? Easy way to cut costs by cutting out a few inches of material? Funny how these brands keep introducing all this new "technology" like boa waistbands and silicone panels to keep...

Given the strength of Loretta Lynn's I don't see the Nationals being negatively mpacted by World SX. Impacted yes but how much and to what degree remains to be seen. Isn't it about time for a refresh of displacements to get 300cc two strokes into 450 class and 150c into the 250s? DC would be applauded if he could accomplish what two stroke afficianados have been asking for a long time and inject some new blood into the Nationals. No one is assuming he will go they are just saying there is an avenue open for him to go. As far as why would he go instead of kicking back? Wheelbarrows full of money tend to sway your opinion.

That is the whole point I'm making, the money they are throwing around or say they are throwing around has a chance to really change some minds. Example how it could work: Honda wants to stick with the SX and Outdoor national model. Ken Roczen decides he doesn't want to race outdoors anymore. Mike Genova throws a bunch of money at Kenny and says he can race both SX series and make the same or more money. This may be a perfect avenue for a team like JGR to get back into racing. I'm sure ML512 can confirm it costs...

Gas prices are obviously high and given what's going on with oil and gas futures this week on the back of Ukraine, they are heading higher (possibly significantly higher in the coming days and weeks). Just curious if this has anyone re-thinking their moto plans this year? Less travel which means attending fewer races, less practice, etc? The moto scene has been really strong for a couple of years now. Could gas prices start to reverse this?

Sorry but in the USA the MX nationals are not a world class sport, they are a niche sport at best and unfortunately going in the wrong direction.

The point I'm trying to make and obviously not communicating well enough is if I'm random dude (Who they are trying to capture to grow the sport) and I see the race is sponsored by Chico's Bail Bonds I'm not going to take it as serious as if it was the "Chevy Trucks Hangtown National." Carson City Motorsports may be an awesome dealer but they are advertising to only the guys who are already "core." Are we trying to level up or are we good talking amongst ourselves? Truthfully I have no problem if we are isolationists and just us...

2009. Probably my favorite GH layout. Lots of elevation changes and there was that certain section where you were WFO. Villopoto was something to see that day.
