How in what way?

If you cant afford to travel the world.... race here in America and travel America.

I see this world sx being more exclusive if you will.

No one is assuming he will go they are just saying there is an avenue open for him to go. As far as why would he go instead of kicking back? Wheelbarrows full of money tend to sway your opinion.
Nobody racing world supercross is bringing in wheel barrows full of money…
Are you not paying attention?

The promotors have pretty deep pockets.

The teams are given travel money by the promotor.

The main thing I'm looking forward to is the "night show" format. Only 20 riders per class, no need for heats/lcq races. How will they fill out the program? Warm up races? Superpole? Multiple "mains"?

I don't want to see it hurt the nationals, but seeing a different format will be a nice change of pace.
The aus x open and the Nz races had 3 heat format for mains , presume this will be the same

Given the strength of Loretta Lynn's I don't see the Nationals being negatively mpacted by World SX. Impacted yes but how much and to what degree remains to be seen. Isn't it about time for a refresh of displacements to get 300cc two strokes into 450 class and 150c into the 250s? DC would be applauded if he could accomplish what two stroke afficianados have been asking for a long time and inject some new blood into the Nationals.

Given the popularity of two strokes, at the least a support class at the Nationals of 125 at some rounds and 300cc rounds at others, would be a great addition to a fairly stale program.

Personally, not a fan of it. I look at it in the same light as the Four Stroke Nationals etc. Elite riders will always go where the best compete and where the money is.
Four stroke nationals were dope though
Why were they dope? For the very reason they were cool, is the same reason the world sx is doomed for failure

That won’t last very long without top tier talent and when crowds dwindle after the first year

The outdoor nationals are already impacted by the expense of running them. As of now 20-25% of the guys that make the 450 main events choose not to race nationals. If you double that number, the meat of the field really thins out.

You may not be worried but if MX Sports is smart and I'm sure they are they are concerned. ,

The new TV and streaming package isn’t helping, either.

The selection of tracks they choose is puzzling. The south is the highest populated area in the country (130 million) the west and the northeast are the least. Both of those regions are over represented in moto. Northeast (Unadilla, Southwick, Highpoint, Budds) West (Pala x2, Hangtown, Washougal)

Meanwhile the midwest and the south are the largest regions population have (Millville, Ironman, Red Bud) the fact that two of the largest states in the country (TX, FL) have nothing is just straight dumb. If the idea is to grow the sport I'm lost on their strategy.

Well the whole industry is pretty much on the west coast…more tracks and more people who ride on the west coast…that’s cool you have more people, but we have more people that ride.

Only thing I am sure of is you sure do a lot of cheerleading for World SX amd I am sure you can't speak for MX Sports despite what you say you are sure of. Have a good weekend.

Right, but if you're trying to grow the sport why oversaturate a market you already own? Are less people in Southern CA going to ride because Pala only gets one round?

Not to mention, quite a few damn good riders come out of the TX/OK/AR/LA/MS.

I don't see crowds in other countries getting smaller..... They're not like america in regards to sports and motorsports especially.

Other countries fans show up rain or shine for many events... Even spread out ass Rally Car races.

From a spectating standpoint/ watching on TV/Streaming
Us Americans have the pretty bad turnouts for racing sporting events. Especially with repeat exposure in motor racing... across alot of disciplines.

Insinuating that this series is going to change the sport like it’s some revolutionary idea, thinking dudes will be walking out of world sx with wheelbarrows full of money. Everybody is acting like this hasn’t been tried before.

Where do you get that I'm insinuating anything? Just because someone looks at particular circumstances and says something could happen doesn't mean that I am insinuating anything.

As far as wheelbarrows of money, that is what it will take for a top guy to jump ship.

When has this been tried in the modern era? Starting from 2000? it hasnt in 22 years or more.. The world has changed massively..

The FIM's world supercross tried to tie into the american series and to me that was the death knell... Also the World SX championship james won... was only 2 added Canadian rounds... Hardly a standalone world sx

The other time was in 2000, when they raced two times in Leipzig, Germany under FIM World Supercross banner...

I can say 100% those two ventures were destined to fail trying to tie into the american series.

I doubt the promoters with wheelbarrows full of money don't know that they will need some big names to sell tickets. It has to be in their plans to throw some big money out to get that achieved. It will happen.

Even still, market saturation and B grade product do not make a good recipe

This is the IRL and CART all over again. We can only hope that the factories can stick together and continue with he 17 round SX series and the 12 round Nationals so that our sport does not separate into two smaller series and loose the popularity it has worked so hard to get in the US.

Why would anyone assume he’s going to world sx? So now anyone racing the actual supercross series only is automatically thought to be going to world sx? Huh? The dude has put in the work, won his titles and made his money. Dudes probably gonna kick back in Cortez and hunt why would he want to go race arenacross?
Simply because Tomac was asked about the World SX series and said he liked the idea of it.

Then he signs a SX only contract for 2023.

I think it is not about how big a crowd the Nationals get.

It will be about many top riders (and teams) being offered a lot of money to do the World SX series and leaving the normally 6-10th place guys riding the Nationals. No top rider would ride three series.

I can already see Eli, Webb, Kenny, Mookie, and Marvin riding World SX next year.

Hope that is not how it plays out but we will see. Will be sad if that actually happens.

I bet a lot of MXGP riders will race it, Give them a little time on a SX track and they will be hauling ass in no time. Cool
Never know you might see guys like Hearling giving it a go and winning.

The big money each team is meant to get does not cover the salary and bonuses that any of those guys would expect

Unless the factories start paying the bonuses I can’t see any of those guys doing more than one year ,

If he’s contracted with monster energy Yamaha star racing there’s a whole possibility that the title sponsor of his team would only want him racing the supercross series they are also a title sponsor of. These supercross only contracts aren’t any series as long as it’s sx.
Monster is the title sponsor of the nationals too.

How is this misinformation?? Because I got the dates wrong?? Or because it’s not full detailed list of every race they added for ever year after the year 2000?

Idk I know the world supercross champions… we’re like; Mike laracco, heath voss, js7, reed…. When they tacked on two euro/ canada races onto the ama supercross season… either way that would never work for numerous reasons…can you clarify your point with whole sentences or is that too much to ask?
