Chad started making money in 03. Let's say he didn't make anything in 2011. That's 8 seasons of earnings. He didn't make $10M average. I'd say he made a MAX gross income of $40M (he didn't make $2M in 03). Take away experience, taxes etc... We are far from a net worth of $90M! This $8.5M figure for 2011 is a total non sense.

Motocross and Supercross are two different things and require different setups. It doesn't work for everyone. People have different riding styles. Ferrandis said he struggled on the previous gen Yamaha in SX but loved it outdoors. That year he went on to win the outdoor championship. When the new gen was released he said it was much better in SX but he struggled with it outdoors. He was off to the best start of his 450 SX career until he got knocked out and then we saw him struggle with it outdoors all season, but it got better towards the...

Maybe because he gets shit for everything he does?. He ate a Donut on the podium and then people started calling him donutboi and not in a positive way. He said he had a goal of surpassing 72 wins and got a lot of shit because he ”disrespected” McGrath by saying that he had a goal. Then it’s the Anderson thing where he got booed a bunch after that. Just look in here you can see that it’s plenty of people just waiting/wanting to see him fail. Both on Vital and other social media it’s often comments about that they...

Saw this mentioned in some other threads, and wanted to break it out away from the other topics, but does Jett look happy? I picked up on the same things others mentioned, he just looks off. Before he was happy, smiling, light hearted, now he looks so serious and like he doesnt want to be there. Even going out on opening ceremonies he didnt look too pumped. Maybe we are all reading too much into it, idk, but just seems like a different Jett then the one who busted onto scene few years ago; maybe the fans turning on him...

What's funny is that no one is hating on Plessinger for saying he wants to win races and be in the hunt for the championship. Where's the outrage? Is it different because Jett has higher goals or does AP get a pass because he's a "redneck cowboy" and fans relate? There's nothing wrong with having lofty goals if that's what keep you motivated.

It’s perfectly acceptable to have goals. As a racer isnt it always the goal, to win? Why do fans get carried away?

Just like last year when he talked about a goal of surpassing 72 wins he said this season that he had a goal going for a perfect SX season. He also said that he give him self high goals since he have won every title there is to win now on US soil and want to set the bar high to stay motivated. And as usual plenty of English speaking fans struggle to understand what a goal means, that it’s not a statement that someone WILL do it, it’s just something to aim for.Or maybe a goal means something else...

If Eli doesn't wash his front end there at the beginning, we may have been treated to a good battle with him and Chase. Chase looked super solid. Regarding Jett, his heat race start (and thus heat race finish) got him buggered a bit which gave him a bad gate pick for the main, which impacted his start. Snowballed on him. Seemed like he started working through the pack but when he went down in the sand, he backed things down to a manageable pace for the set up of the bike, and just tried to minimize damage on the...

Sorry GrapeApe, I should've made myself clear. I did mean the 450 class. It's even more amazing considering some of the injuries these 30+ riders have had.

My apologies, you actually know what you’re talking about. I’d say it’s a bit harsh though to say he doesn’t look good at all, just the fact he was able to run the pace of the top 3 is really, really impressive and a great first block to build from. I agree it’s absolutely insane he’s jumping into the 450 class first but I truly in my heart believe there’s only 5 or 6 riders in the world that could do that and he’s one of them

He was talking about 450. Back in the day, everyone in 450 was done by 28-30, now its most of the class.

Had to be talking 450’s I imagine? The 250 class really isn’t on the older side of things at all outside of Laninovich and a handful of riders

Controversial take... none of them are good enough. Deegan is the only 250 guy that justifies a 450 ride based on what he has done. All the rest have milked the 250 class rather than back themselves against the likes of Barcia and Stewart. And in SX, they are racing half the 250 class.
