What about the wheel tap in that split section where he passed Adamo. The double over the bump before the finish, and 90% on the pegs… That’s a comfortable Herlings, and a comfortable Herlings in dangerous….

there was a point where he didnt even make ground on adamo in 4th for a few laps aint no way I thought he would win this race. He was about 15 secs down at that point and all of a sudden when the gap updated it cut down to 9 seconds. I thought wtf

Weege has a hard time not discussing his contempt for race fans, it slips out all the time, that he thought they were too dumb to figure out TV is just one example. I don't think Lewis shares the same contempt, but he is guilty of voicing assumptions quickly. I think one of the problems with the sport's "journalism" is it hasn't evolved with its audience. The average age of people involved in the sport has risen dramatically as has their financial wellbeing in the past few decades, many of us are very well educated and affluent, the audience is...

Phillips comes across as a wanker sometimes. Reminds me some of the brit sterotype looking down his nose at us uncivilized Americans. One reason I like Weege so much… fair, friendly, enthusiastic about the sport, courteous, still brings/ presents us with good info. Without a doubt the best moto has as far as guys that are not past champs in the booth or reporting.

He is the most arrogant and condescending person in our sport that laughably calls himself a journalist. Take a look at his Twitter feed it is filled with Tweet after Tweet making fun and being condescending towards one of the biggest legends of our sport. Imagine someone with the life achievements of Lewis Phillips constantly degrading and making fun publicly someone of Eli Tomac’s achievements 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ And he even does it in Tomac’s country of birth meanwhile he is from GB! Ole Lew needs to pull his head in.

I understand your point, and do not disagree about what he did. But the punishment doesn't fit the crime. I saw no evidence of him gaining a significant advantage by his actions, it was a split second reaction, not decision. And the AMA penalized him potentially a $500,000 penalty for a championship bonus. I have to disagree with your opinion on how this was handled.

Looking forward to a Febvre/Herlings battle in the motos.
