RC sounds that way because he is severely awful at his job. The others don't sound that way and I believe he just can't think fast enough to come up with sound analysis and the result is stumbling over words and sentences not completed. If you listen to him on podcasts or other interviews talking about his own career he is awesome and can share all the details. His memory is remarkable considering the amount of racing he did......which highlights even more he is improperly placed. It's not a dig on Carmichael, he is just not good at this.

For me it's not even the commentators, it's the entire approach to production. From the start of a heat race, for example, they just immediately deliver canned stories for several laps. Dish to Will, dish to JT, tell a story, show some highlights, show an interview in PIP. About 40% of the whole broadcast is actual racing. Call. The. Race. Then cover the human interest pieces in the dead time. And yeah, at this point RC sounds totally restricted and can only draw from a list of about 10 things to see each night. I assume it's all to appeal...

I do this aswell but RC stutters and stumbles so much its a distraction when you find yourself correcting his vocabulary 🤣

RC nailed the commentator's curse by saying how much he was looking forward to AP's podium speech with still 2 laps to go. To use a RC quote "I hate to see that"

It’s really shocking just how bad they are at providing analysis of lap times, gaps closing, and projecting what may happen based on the times being set. just finished watching the F1 race and its unbelievable how much better than broadcast team is at this aspect. There’s too much happening in racing for your announcers to be lost and adding so little value to the viewer.

Agreed. I think Daniel recognized it tonight and was trying to analyze the race because RC was lost. During the "re rack" of the race when the gat malfunctioned he started a sentence and then just lost it and there was like 10 seconds of silence. He offered nothing of value tonight and how Peacock doesn't see it is beyond me.

I think his speaking has actually gotten worse. You could literally take a audio track from any of his called races and dub it over a different race and you wouldn’t know the difference. He says the same 10 things over and over. id rather have someone good at speaking and formulating intelligent analysis then have someone gifted the job because of their success in the sport.

Rc is so awful in the booth hes gonna ruin his legacy as a racer .

Seems to me that "clicks" pay the bills around here

he shows up and immediately puts down his "old" customers again. Atta boy. Some things never change.
