6/18/2026 2:39pm Give me a minute and I'll tie my story back to you... By '99 I got to where I was consistently battling and beating 2-digit National guys locally. Tried 7 Nationals and never made it...it was always a dream to ride that parade lap and be on the starting gate...but something always seemed to happen. '99 Washougal I rode really well in the Saturday Qualifier, but missed it by a few Sunday morning...this was one that several fast Japanese riders showed up at and I remember battling them. '00 Hangtown was brutally hot, I remember a few guys having heat...

6/12/2026 8:39am I have owned three “X” models recently… 2024 YZ125X, 2026 CRF250RX, and a 2026 YZ250X. While I can’t speak for all “X” models, these three bikes have been excellent practicing on the MX tracks and racing in the cross country woods. For reference, I’m 180 pounds and ride at a vet intermediate pace. The stock suspension on these three bikes handle MX tracks without a problem if you spend a little time dialing them in. On the YZ250X, I have added 20cc of fork oil to help with some bottoming, but the other two bikes were good right out of...

6/11/2026 3:42pm Its easier to ride a XC bike on the track than it is to ride a motocross bike on the trails, the suspension is a small part of that but the 18" rear helps a lot off road and isn't noticeable on the track and if you are racing than you need the 2 gallon tank. The kickstand is actually awesome, no lifting it up on the stand and when you are loading up bikes you don't have to find somewhere to lean your bike when you forget the straps.

6/11/2026 3:41pm you guys, some of you, are stoned out of your mind. Literally the X suspension on these bikes is not only fine for moto, but most likely BETTER for moto unless you are hitting triples and 18 years old. The majority of riders are not fast enough for an X model to be "unsafe" haha, just have to laugh at this shit

6/10/2026 6:44pm I ride/race XC and XCFs, after suspension setup the rest is a non factor to me. But the thing that I like more than anything is my kickstand. At 155lbs and 57 years old, I have no interest in lifting the bike onto a stand after coming off the track exhausted, in fact I’m not even sure I could anymore.

6/10/2026 6:43pm I run my Beta 480 Race Edition just as much as my 450RX (that's big bored to a 480). A lot of times the heavier crank mass and six speed gear spacing just works better, especially on a track with elevation changes. I know lots of guys with XC-F/FXs and Japanese XC models that track ride all the time and love them more than the straight MX bike version.

6/10/2026 6:43pm The mx models factory suspension will beat you to death offroad, atleast on the east coast. Had a yz250x, 250xcf and a 250xc now. At 170 pounds the suspension holds up well for me for the most part outside of over shooting a bigger jump. The 6 speed tranny on the ktms is no issue. 2nd 3rd and 4th are money although I did go up 1 tooth on the xcf. 18 wheel isnt noticeable. Imo 250 or 350 xcf is your bike. 450 is just alot of motorcycle offroad to me. Can ride mx bikes offroad but its less...

6/10/2026 11:30am I ride a KTM XC-F 350 everywhere, track, tight woods, off road, desert. It's basically an SX with a 6 speed, bigger tank, 18" rear and spring forks. I changed the springs for my weight added an XPR tuned vortex ecu and a fan. It's really the best all around bike for me. I have had them all, KTM 300...

6/9/2026 2:49pm I have had both at the same time for years now. Different brands and sizes, but have had both a two and four stroke in the stable for at least 20 years now. Two strokes are more fun, four strokes hook up better, just my opinion. A two stroke "feels" organic, a four stroke "feels" mechanical. It is ideal to have both if you can.

6/5/2026 7:40am Levi likes his fishing , solid. Years ago we had Wednesday night tourneys on a local river, about as low key a thing as one could imagine. There was this kid that would show up every week & sit at the ramp with his tackle box & rod, he'd ask anyone & everyone if he could go with them that evening. sometimes he'd go , sometimes no-one would take him. Fast forward several years & that kid, the one who had a hard time getting anyone to take him along .. was Jacob Wheeler.

6/5/2026 7:39am From sounds of it Phoenix hooked Levi up with a boat. My guess 921 Phoenix, which is what my old tournament boat is collating dust in my boat storage. Tournament fishing is fun, but it’s either hot as hell or cold and wind blowing. It’s also rough on big water lakes like Sam Rayburn, Toledo Bend and other big lakes. Your back will take a pounding. Tournament fishing is not as easy as it looks. It’s also not a poor man’s sport. Sponsorships are not a free ride. In many cases those wrapped boats are bought by anglers at a...
