French top riders in their respective categories, Desprey or Fontvieille in 250, Aranda in 450, would easily qualify in their respective AMA categories. They're 10-20 seconds from top AMA riders in a short race, that'd be around top15-20 in the US. When you out qualify Webb yeah, Aranda would probably qualify. Bourdon finished 8th in the 250SX west coast 2024 championship for his first full season, he's currently 3rd in France SX tour (SX1, 450s).

I don't follow Supercross, how do 250 times from riders like Bourdon, Desprey and Boisrame (so 1.2 to 2.2 sec off Vialle in the final) compare to times in 250 East/West in US? Would that be enough to qualify?

Because there is no money for riders outside top 10-15 in MXGP and MX2. For the 250 class there actually is more then a full field at 10 European Grand Prix, on average over 70 entries, its just spread out over the MX2 and EMX250 class. Imo a nice get for Martens. Braceras is still quite young and imo the Fantic did not help him this year. He got 6th-7th-8th place finishes with F&H. The only thing that surprised me is that i thought Martens was going to be the EMX250 team for Honda, but i guess not.
