It's a mass damper. Works well when the bumps you're hitting causes the damper to oscillate 180 degrees out of phase of the bump. Makes everything worse if it happens to go in-phase (or close to it). Either way, you're hauling weight around on the end of your swingarm, which is not a good thing. Whether the pros outweigh the cons depends a lot on the situation, but for a motocross bike, I wouldn't consider it.

It’s been cool as hell watching Landen Gordon and Vincent Wey make this transition in person over the last couple of years.

His record in the US doesn't adequately show how fast he was. He rode fast corners better than anyone I had ever seen until then. '99 he came in like a house on fire, an all-time ride at Glen Helen, winning the series until going out injured. Strong start for his first summer stateside. '00 it is forgotten how he gave Carmichael all he could handle for the first half of the series. RC admittedly caught everyone off guard but Tortelli was on his level, winning most of the first motos vs. RC winning most of the second. Injuries again...

GL8 seems like a vital dude, just much faster cooler funnier and with way more big trophies. Always rad talking to him out at the track. Yes I’m drinking

I do appreciate your support, but there really is no reason for Lewis to be drug into this. He is a fantastic journalist and has helped me out a tremendous amount. Again, everything will work out and I have no animosity. But thank you for enjoying what I've done.
