It’s amazing how comfortable the “don’t tread on me” folks are about the government treading on everyone else.

Not sure what set off the protests, but when peaceful protests turn violent then there needs to be accountability. 

I had a DHS/ICE ‘visit’ last month. It went very smoothly and the agents were extremely professional. They didn’t try to intimidate or strong arm me in any way, and I cooperated with them exactly as I had been trained to. 

I’m going to go out on a very strong limb and say that not every business is as cooperative as we were and not all agents are as professional as the ones who visited us were. The agents who came identified themselves very clearly, with a lot of courtesy and respect. They understood that I needed to bring in our corporate HR and Legal contacts and agreed to do a video conference call. No conflicts at all. 

Some of the incidents I’ve seen where they ‘raid’ somewhere or come after an individual look vastly different, and in several of those instances it really does look like they aren’t identifying themselves very well at all. But to be honest, those types of situations are inherently more dangerous for everyone involved than the office visit I received and the quick snatch of a suspect might actually be much safer overall for everyone involved.
