Thoughts, feeling, concerns? I am optimistic.
Looking forward to it. It will never be like the original, but you have go in knowing that and just got with it.
I love it . Even if it sucks , it will be more enjoyable than most .
I'm glad to see Julie Bowen is in it. Nice for continuity.
Sometimes sequels can work. I'm really looking forward to the Spinal Tap one. The first movie was ridiculous and sucky on purpose, so as long as the second one sucks too, it won't suck.

Is it just me or are they a little late for this? 🤣
You wouldn't take Julie for a roll in the hay?
I would....
You gotta wonder if the plot is Happy taking the role of Chubbs and teaching some nutty kid.
Just watched it today, much better than I had hoped for, I would recommend !
Same thoughts here!
Loved Uncle John! 😂
Thought it was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen
SPOILERS
I thought it was great right up to the "Maxi" golf tournament. Lots of nostalgia and great guest spots (except Eminem, that was just dumb). When they started in with the CGI golf swings/ball trajectory, and the bad guy WWE-style golfers it just got stupid and I turned it off.
watched it, wasn't too bad, but not as good as the original,
I thought it was pretty good. Plot was funny…music was on point…it was very SNL…cheesy references new & old…again, very SNL.
Watched it last night. My thoughts were that it ran out of laughs in a real hurry. Was a tough watch
I thought it hit the spot.
The Maxi tournament and a few other parts were a bit cringey, but I still laughed quite a bit at several points. My family also enjoyed it. I'm a big golf fan so I enjoyed a lot of the cameos. John Daly played his part perfectly.
Just need to go in with low expectations and enjoy the cheap laughs.
I think that I might have been expecting too much from it. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t think that it was anywhere close to the level of the first HG movie.
Then again, that’s what you usually get with comedic sequels, I think. Especially ones that are so long after the original. The original catches lightning in a bottle, which is really hard to do once and exponentially harder to repeat.
Pit Row
It was horrible.
I figured I would sit back and let some reviews trickle in before I wasted my time and ruined the original
I made it to about 15 minutes before turning it off.
It doesn’t ruin the original imo. But it does nothing to add to it either. It’s just a bad movie all around.
It’s a movie that came out too late and really didn’t capitalize on the material it had. You could go all kinds of different directions. The cast was great but the script needed to be way better.
I’d give it like a 3.5 / 10
It’s a cheap movie underpinned by a really bad script.
I watched it last night and enjoyed it for what it was. You're never going to top the original and let's face it: it could have been waaay worse.
I like how Sandler paid tribute to Bob Barker and that Gilmore and McGavin got some reconciliation.
Some things should never be touched because they are that good, "Fast Times" is one of them.
The movie was horse shit. I knew they'd fk it up, but not THAT bad. Jokes were terrible. It didn't even feel like a believable or flowing story. Just a bunch of non important things happening from scene to scene. And then you kill Virginia within 2 mins?... wtf is wrong with you guys? I can't wait to make an ai substitute for what this was supposed to be.
saw a youtube short of the eminem scene.... so CORNY.
Coming from someone who doesn't watch movies or TV other than SMX
In my opinion, they really missed the mark.
Number 1 worked so well because it was a redemption story for Happy and instead of heavy-fucking-handedly forcing Happy into a second redemption story (that no one really gives a shit about) they should have made the entire movie about Shooter.
Holy shit....you and I actually agreeing on something.

I have to agree also, and I have not seen the flic yet. It 100% shoulda been about Shooter.
A storyline like: after the tournament he went downhill, Shooter was a loser, alcoholic, shunned by the PGA/Sponsors and never got over embarrasment of the 'Gold Jacket' incident. Somehow Happy/Shooters paths crossed again, and McGavin rose above his prior reputation, slowly got back into shape to play, and won a jacket all-the-while doing something lifechanging for Happy - that in the end brought them together.
It is possible to endear and redeem a fallen character, put in humor and make it all work. Great example of that is 'St. Vincent' with Bill Murray.
