roberts29 Added a reply to accident insurance

Actually I think he is talking about short term disability combined with accidental death and dismemberment policies. These policies write you a check when you get hurt, break a bone or are hospitalized and are outside of normal health insurance. These policies can be a real life saver when it comes to covering expenses not related to actual health care...

Didn't always agree with what she wrote, but always respected her opinion. Texas MX has lost a true motohead. RIP Kat.

Bullshit move anyway you look at it. Yeah, he could have punted him, or he could have been a champion, passed James as soon as he could - hell James practically pulled over for him, but Chad decided to play games and mess with James. Difference between Champ and also ran.

Pediatric Oncology - Two words that should never have to be used together. I went voted for him turtle and I wish the best to them and please let us know if there is anything else us motoheads can do to help.

If the promoter is providing Travis with start money , it would be the best money spent. Watching Travis on a track is worth the price of admission alone. I'm not sure where he will be from a competitive level, but very few people I know can out showman Travis on a bike. Now I'm hoping that somehow Speed will...

Sorry, Hepler rode a fantastic race and it's Skippy's and RV's job to get around him if they are that much faster. I don't think Hepler held them up, the track was sufficiently technical to keep things close for a while.

The devil is in the details and saying they just took the Hans and adapted it for motocross is like saying that Yamaha just adapted Roper's Steam motorcycle for motocross. The Hans and the Leatt may look similar, but work quite differently.

roberts29 Added a reply to Welcome back Mike Leiby?

4/16/2016 9:54pm
Mike just got back from a 15 month deployment in Iraq and Dr. Mark organized a bunch of people from Mototalk and Motodrive and other friends of Mike's to put together a welcome home and thank you for your service suprise. Just goes to show that Moto folks are some of the best people around. Dr. Mark is a pretty...

roberts29 Added a reply to Pete Fox clears the air

9/10/2008 6:55pm
I would like to believe that the primary reason behind Fox's decision is the Supercross only deal, but unfortunately, I suspect that the truth lies more in the lack of return on their investment - I'm sure the Stewart camp was chasing major dollars and that at the end of the day, given the poor television and mainstream media coverage...

Man - this wasn't what I expected when I opened this thread - given where Mike was, I was really afraid for him and now I'm really conflicted - I'm happy to hear he is safe, but devastated to hear about his brother. Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole Leiby clan and I only hope for the best...

roberts29 Added a reply to NEW Leatt brace $195 Retail

6/21/2008 6:59pm
Once again, how would you like them to test the real world forces - are you volunteering to let them instrument your spinal cord and have you face plant time after time with and without the brace. At some point we have to realize that trying to get quantitative real world information isn't practical and that the best we can...

roberts29 Added a reply to NEW Leatt brace $195 Retail

6/21/2008 6:50pm
Nope - no connection with Leatt, but I am engineer who has done quite a bit of work in the area of safety equipment - mostly in the four wheel sports. I just get tired of people bashing something new without bothering to understand what is going on - is the Leatt the best thing out there - I don't...
