I guess you are new to the sport also then. Torque is more important than HP on 450 and when it makes the torque. Kawi down prioritized torque to meet the new sound requirements for the new bike. You can pretty much always create more peak HP, but torque is much more difficult, specially getting it in the right place. Torque is what makes the bike feeling light and not sluggish. Not HP.

You mean Jett who was third in the moto because shock was to stiff? Or Eli who backed off to 7-8 when bike wasn't feeling right? Sorry but you are just wrong. A suspension setup for that powerfull bike is very different from a slow bike. It one thing is off, everything is off. Jett would not be able to top three on Tomac bike, and Tomac would not be able to win or top three on Jetts bike. Probably not even top 5. They would if they where not in the championship hunt back it off even more, not...

Gotta eat my words on Coenen though. I thought they were crazy to rush him to the 450 class but except for the first races (came in injured aswell I know) he looks like a veteran out there. Probably too big for the 250 aswell right now. Who is gonna stop this kid over the next years when he already looks like this and doesn't decide to go to the US?

I don't know about Herlings, but Cornelius Tøndel is racing Southwick, RedBud, and Millville.

ya'll are missing the REAL detail here: ET3 is going to KTM. If you were still working stuff out with Yammy, you're going to stop that question and say "Hey Hooper - let's not do that today, alright?" and it would shut him down. Instead he stared off into the ether. Oh and I'm glad he asked the question. Waaaaaaaaah at Matthes whining about it...while Weege and JT both said "I dunno man - our PR in this sport just sucks and we're really missing an opportunity to embrace the news/fans in better ways"....

I think what's hilarious is the insider media bros of the sport (Matthes, Weege, etc) always get the scoop of what's happening "behind closed doors", but they're not allowed to "officially" report it, since it would compromise their relationships with whatever sources they use. But, they still end up saying things like "we hear Tomac is going to KTM". And if you've followed the sport for long enough, you know that if the insider media bros say they've heard something is happening/has happened regarding team switches/contracts, they're pretty much always correct. So, even though they can't officially report on silly...

Um, Lewis Hamilton signed with Ferrari while driving for Mercedes and announced it about halfway through the season. Marc Marquez signed with Ducati/ Greshini Racing halfway through the season and announced it while riding for Honda HRC Jorge Martin signed with Aprilia while riding for Ducati/ Pramac and announced it with multiple races to go in the season.... I’m for it. Let the media ask whatever the hell they want! It’s on the highly paid professional that is being asked the question to formulate a response that aligns with whatever they can or cannot say. That’s why they are paid the big bucks. Keep the hard questions coming.

Yea that was weird. Steve’s take made no sense. It’s not the media’s job to protect the riders. Ask the questions and it won’t be so taboo to not ask those questions.

Just heard the RacerX review pod where they spoke on it, and I’m going to disagree with those guys on this one. The press should be allowed to ask questions about contracts, it’s up to the riders to address them appropriately, in my opinion.

I’m wondering how much KTMs financial situation pushed CS over to green? If he actually ends up at Kawasaki..
