The rule no longer exists, it was awarded as a one time use to the existing OEMs back in the mid 90s and they all used their one time exemption. It wasn’t available to Husky or GasGas by example when KTM bought them.

So after hearing a lot of complaints about the 24’ yz450f I was wondering if the updated 250f was going to have problems too. After watching the MXA review of the new 250 I completely expected them to say it was the greatest bike ever, no problems at all, and its absolutely perfect. You know how a lot of guys dont wanna rock the boat. Its funny because most of the time the only way to get an honest review about a model year bike is to watch next years review where they say what problems the old bike had...

The last I heard and along the lines of what ML has been saying… HEP deal hasn’t/didn’t happened. Ziggy doing something with Dylan seems to be the direction things are moving in and Dylan’s people are currently looking for sponsors/$. I don’t necessarily think Honda is out of it; but, they have their hands full and I’m pretty sure any HRC involvement would require some sort of lease deal -OR- the somewhat expensive purchase of certain factory parts…very few of which…in my humble opinion…are actually needed. Maybe a few trans parts, ECU/electronics and the really good Showa stuff? All things...

Pretty sure FIM has the rights to call their series world championship, not AMA. just like when there was a shit storm around the world enduro championship a couple of years ago and KTM/Husky left the series and created their own ”new” world championship, but they could not call it that since FIM had the rights to it.
