I hope this season has made him realize he is a front runner and deserves to be up there with everyone else. Hope he can get his starts dialed so we see him up front more. Why does this narrative keep getting repeated over & over…exactly what Deegan said himself at the press conference. What does Jordan’s experience have to do with Deegan’s dirty riding (In a Heat Race), against a teammate, and horrific press conference? Jordan is supposed to be fine with the kid rough/dirty riding him? He isn’t allowed to pass because of YouTube or Instagram likes? The Deegan PR campaign showed its first kink in the armor. Star has a problem and I bet they know it.

I think he just found out " Rubbin’s Racin’ " does not have the same meaning when it comes to your teammate. I guess Daddy Deeg's forgot to tell him that.

Good post. I also think its telling that most HD fanbois haven't said much about the effort Smith put in during the LCQ after he stalled it and couldn't get the bike restarted. Smith rode his ass off and made up 10 seconds and 4-5 riders in the last 2 laps to have a shot at making the main. Anybody that is a true MX/SX race fan would acknowledge that effort, even if it was his own doing for being so far back. Clearly, he was motivated to get the bike in the main event. I'd put money on him...

He was calling bullshit on Deegan's dismissive position that it was just a "racing incident." Anyone with half a brain can watch the sequence of events and clearly see Deegan was being a total dick and trying to take out Smith, which he ultimately succeeded in doing. This warrants some tough questioning from the media, especially since they are teammates and especially since it was just a heat race and especially since Jordan Smith was clearly faster than Deegan.

This was not a "racing incident." Deegan tried to punt Smith three times before they ultimately came together a fourth time and Smith went down. Really stupid on Deegan's part. Not a fan of that kind of racing. Being aggressive is one thing but at least 3 out of the 4 run-ins were blatant attempts at running Smith high. What a little cocksucker. He was basically doing what Barcia does when someone is faster than him and trying to pass.
