Everyone keeps mentioning the low maintenance of these simple bikes but I can guarantee you if you are actually racing these things at a decent pace you are going to break way more shit than you are on a modern bike. My 2023 300XC has 100 hours on it and all I do is tires, air filters, gear oil and brake pads, service the suspension every 60-80 hours and you have a reliable bike that you aren't wasting a $50 entry fee when your bike breaks lap one.

what's interesting in the play bike line is how mfg like Honda have taken the XR200 from a decent enduro bike, to a complete foo-foo bike. There are certain years in the 90s that are the "best" in terms of suspension travel (albeit with spindly 36mm forks). I had an e-start CRF230 that was a tank. Sold it and bought a '97 XR200. Like the 350's don't have a proper MX class around them, I think the manufacturers could build a 350 air cooled two stroke, kickstart, steel frame, lightweight - not restricted by AMA weight restrictions for the formal...

Yea that was like #1 wackiest things to happen. James was talking about how chase looks down at his fender when riding which causes a lot of his problems. He was trying to convince ppl that is not true… and then this happened lol. No shot after that lol.

I ran the numbers and 695 different riders matched up with Eli Tomac in SX mains, MX overalls, and SMX overalls over the course of his whole career. Roczen (275), Barcia (275), and Anderson (269) are the three riders with the most races against Tomac. Roczen tied Barcia for the most in Tomac's last ever appearance in Ridgedale last weekend. I built a sortable and searchable table of all 695 riders on my website along with a brief history of Roczen, Anderson, and Barcia's first and last meetings with Tomac. Update Heard from my Rep yesterday, for 2027 Representative Matt Commons (district 13 which includes Attica/Badlands) will be introducing this language again, co-authored by my Rep Lori Goss-Reaves. Apparently what I started has gained some traction and others in the state are pushing their Reps to call for action. I suggest other hoosiers start calling and emailing their Representatives as well to voice support so we can get this through and protect our sport.

Yea that was a bullshit way to leave honda and then at ktm there was no farewell message or thank you or anything at all he just unfollowed ktm on social media and that was it. Hmmm i disagree, I believe Kawi have been leaning on their talent since RC, they had RC, Js7, RV And Eli back to back to back elite level talents, these types of riders would ride well regardless of the bikes short comings therefore no development. I believe elis time at kawi is where the wheels were starting to come off(or show up), if you watch Eli on that kawi you'll notice how unsettled and twitchy the bike was during his time when he got on the Yamaha those problems were much less obvious.
