Look at the pictures and look at Chases body positioning as Colt is looking over at him. It clearly looks like Chase is committed to tripling into the corner and Colt still decides to cut over on him. I like Colt, but that was a stupid move on his part.

Chase and Shane raced the same races. Chase was just the better man this year. Put McElrath on that Geico Honda and I don’t think he would’ve really been as close as he was to Sexton this year. Stoked for Mookie!! Happy for him to have finished the whole season healthy too! He made a lot of progress this year and finished with a career high. MCR Honda would be foolish not to give him a contract extension, I bet that they’re already working on it. Hopefully it’s a 2 year deal.

Same here. Is JGR up in the air for next year? I wonder what other factory team would sign him. He’s always strong outdoors. If he doesn’t get anything good lined up for next year down here, I can see him going to Canada on a factory bike up there with Filthy Phil and being a title contender.

You do realize that Yamaha extended his contract through 2021 right? AP didn’t force them to do that. Yamaha wanted to extend his contract so I don’t see how McElrath or Ferrandis eyeing that spot would change anything. Plus you’ll see Ferrandis on Orange next year.

Good choice IMO. He’s been with the fox family since 2011 and has probably made a ton of money from them that’s helped him to keep racing for the last 9-10 years instead of doing the TLD deal and only racing a couple more years.

What do you mean it would’ve meant no aluminum frame YZ250 and no boat-like YZF450? If Reed would’ve went to Suzuki then Yamaha wouldn’t have came out with the aluminum frame 250? What about Mike Alessi to Geico Honda for 2005 and beyond (factory connection back then)? I believe he was going to ride for Gecio and not factory Honda, but Geico wouldn’t sign Jeff too and that’s why that didn’t happen. I wonder if he would’ve been able to close out a outdoor title on a Honda or not? IMO he...

Yaa it definitely sucks. If he didn’t get hurt in ‘06 when he first came over here he very well could’ve won that outdoor title. He won the ‘04 world title and won a few races and got 2nd or 3rd overall in the 450 class on a KTM 450. He would’ve been a title favorite for ‘06 IMO. But...

Yup. Reed wanted to sign Wilson for 2013 and beyond and was really close, but Honda wouldn’t provide a factory bike for Deano. I remember reading about this too, Reed said the motor was really close to his Yamaha motor. He said that he wore Sebastian Tortellis gear during his test ride to not be noticed. Ohh and that if Yamaha didn’t let him wear different color gear besides blue that he would’ve signed with another team lol

Josh grant did race for Jeff Ward Racing in 2012 on Kawis with Kyle Chisholm and their may have been a third rider, but I’m pretty sure it was just them two.
