9/13/2012 6:31am I agree, I think he will do really well, battling with the likes of De Dycker and Nagl, maybe even beating them. He''s a good rider.

9/13/2012 3:35am Cairoli actually beat Dungey in Italy at the MXon in moto one. I do agree with you, Dungey has more than Cairoli's measure until now. There isn''t a lot in it though, their speed is pretty similar, Dungey is much more consistent in the MXoN thats for sure.

9/13/2012 2:39am And to add to that, I don't think there are too many GP riders interested in living in America at the moment, the whole dream of going to USA has changed.
Maybe the odd French kid, but an Italian, Dutchman or just about all the others, it's not the lifestyle they are looking for. I would be surprised if Herlings...

9/13/2012 2:32am The baddest mother fucker on a dirt schooter might just get his ass handed to him in Lommel in two weeks. Think about that if it happens and then you might change your attitude. The baddest mother fucker on a dirt schooter has every chance to win in Lommel, but just as good a chance of getting beaten by not...

9/12/2012 9:17am FTE,
From memory GP circuits were wide open and dust, hahahaha. GP riders didn''t know a whoop from a double, remember Smets complaining in 1996 at the MXoN in Spain about the double jumps.
Thats changed big time and our tracks have a lot of supercross type sections, wave sections, little jumps here and there and some big jumps. But...

9/12/2012 9:06am Did I ever deny American''s are not kicking euros asses? Happens every year.

9/12/2012 9:04am DC, The AMA series is awesome, great tracks and great riders. Not for once do I see it any other way. I''ve been a fan of the AMA riders since the early 1970s, my first non Aussie MX hero was Marty Smith. This isn''t about the series, it''s about the fact GP riders have a tough time getting used to...

9/12/2012 8:48am Skip, When the GP riders go to a different track, they all go together, it''s the same for everyone. When a GP rider goes to an AMA circuit its new to them, but not to everyone else. Thats the difference and I''ve talked to enough GP riders who rode both series and most of them say the tracks in America...

9/12/2012 8:45am DC,
All I know is Musquin said Unadilla was a circuit you needed throttle control and not just wide open. I''ve been to Unadilla a handful of times and it always looked like a euro circuit to me. Can't have changed that much, or has it?
The temp would also answer a lot of questions about why the euro guys...

9/12/2012 7:04am Or maybe they are not interested in Supercross.....possible, even for the fastest Motocross riders in the World. I mean, no disrespect, but De Coster, Robert, Hallman, Everts, Geboers, Everts, Smets, Jobe, and that Cairoli guy couldn't and can''t race Supercross. Those guys must suck big time!!!!

9/12/2012 6:47am I agree with you on that one. I don''t think we have one REAL AMA styled track in Europe. These guys get there and it is like WOW, the pace is flat out. They can not deal with it. Mind you that is a pretty difficult thing to change I imagine. Going from throttle control in europe compared to nearly...

9/12/2012 6:14am I think Herlings wants to win the inderviduel overall, and not only that he rode the bigger bike last year and Holland don't really have another big bike rider. Actually at the GP of Lierop Glenn Coldenhoff the MX2 rider for Holland looked pretty good, nearly winning the Saturday qualifier and then coming back from bad starts and crashes to...

9/12/2012 6:04am Can't totally agree there. I think if we split moto wins it's pretty close. Cairoli, Paulin, Searle, Herlings, Roczen and others have beaten AMA guys in recent years at the MXoN and on a regular basis.
Team wise I don't even think a combined GP team could beat Team USA. Villopoto, Dungey and Baggett against Cairoli, Herlings and Desalle and...

9/12/2012 5:49am Watching him in Lierop two weeks ago I was staggered, really surprised by how fast he was. I have seen RC smoke Everts at Zolder and I also got to see RC at Southwick and both are awesome sand riders. I've seen Everts riding Lierop where I also thought, WOW, but the feeling I had watching Herlings in Lierop I''ve...

9/12/2012 5:28am Dungey is probably riding as fast as ever this year and might just be the best AMA rider now. Not trying to push the GP thing, but if he can run with Cairoli at Lommel, I will be really impressed. Running with Herlings, I just can''t see that happening. I'm not sure I have ever seen anyone ride sand like...

9/12/2012 5:25am If any non American wins in America, against American rider, hell yes I would rate them the best. Guys like Reed, Langston, Albertyn, even Vuillemin don't get the credit for what they are doing. Home ground advantage, every single week you have the crowd screaming against you, you have the culture reminding you that you are not at home. All...

9/12/2012 5:18am I didn''t say it as a negative, it is a positive that the Americans have that. And yes, I think it's maybe their biggest advantage in the MXoN.
