The two best bikes in the class in my opinion, both fit me great, I’m 6”2. Yamaha finally turns like it should, kx 450 forks are awesome with proper oil level (350) , mine had around 300, first bike I didn’t get a revalve on. I have rode every new brand of bike made, except rmz ( I have a lot of Mx buddies), and I like the kx best closely followed by the Yamaha. Yamaha is a little weird(air filter location and sound) but rides great, all of the bikes are awesome,just my 2cents

Haha I think I've decided on the Kawi. I usually get a new bike every two years and I keep them nice so I think any difference in quality should be okay within that window. I'm gonna race my 350 one more time this weekend then go snag the Kawi.

I have no idea but i would suppose its what his sponsors wanted him to do. Follow the $$$. Maybe Honda money dried up, then why not ride ktm? Its a better bike and you save money on pipes.

It's not what you think, and it has nothing to do with "saving that cash." If you want to come and ride press day, you have to show up for the press functions and appointments, like morning talk shows or appearances, and not just show up when it's time to ride. It's damaging to all, the team as well as the series, when a top rider has an appointment with a live local news show and blows it off, because the chances of that station ever coming back and covering the event are pretty much out the window. I might be going red again too. The dual exhaust was super lame on a MX bike. I'm currently going through my photo library and just cringe every time I see the rear of a Honda with duals. Thank god they are getting rid of them.

Call me crazy but I thought the race the Honda bikes looked rigid in the rough compared to the Kawasaki's.

52 hours on my 19. Mostly racing or practicing for that, vet B, moto/track only. Haven't had any issues with it yet. I do all the regular maintenance on it but am planning on replacing it with a 2021 before I do a top end or anything where the motor is opened up for more than a valve check. Just ordered a PC pipe and confirmed it's coming with the rubber mount. Anyone running a rubber-mounted aftermarket can without beefing up the subframe tab? I wanted to slap it on this week and head to Monster Mountain on Thursday. Hoping with the rubber mount it will be good; I won't have time to strengthen the subframe before we leave.

In general it's a barter system. As I said, I'm not the owner. But, I've had my own private tracks and know how to build/maintain them. I contribute a decent amount of $$$ every year in buying sawdust, tractor/dozer rentals, and donate LOTS of time in arranging for that plus doing the prep. I helped build the watering system.
