Why do some people (Steve) want the price of a claimed bike increased? That would deter more people from claiming a bike rather than others modding a bike to the max. How about make the claim price less than 2x msrp and see what these riders can really do on a bike closer to stock? Everyone always says “ that guy is so good he could win on a xr200”. Well let’s see who really needs the help of a modded maxed out bike and who can whoop up on a less modded bike. That would even the playing field.

After watching the video, I think the kid is 100% credible. Brian Deagan and Cotter in a room alone with a 17 year old minor for 30 minutes? Let that last sentence sink in..... Holy fuck fuck fuck. That really makes me sick. Even more than the half dozen other disgusting things that occurred. I believe this young man is telling it truthfully how it went down. Sickining.

Not sure if it's been said yet, but that 17yr old is very very VERY well spoken. Props to him for laying it out as it happened and not showing emotion like most young kids would do.

At one time Brennan may have said he wasn’t pressured because he was actually afraid that he just poked the bear big time. I lean towards believing Brennan over the corporate goons at this point.

That's an understatement; DC comes off pretty one-sided since he completely glosses over almost everything that Schofield said. I found Schofield very believable, with no reason to create some elaborate lie over the whole situation, whereas MX Sports has little credibility (to me anyway).

They say there's always 2 sides to a story and somewhere in the middle is the truth, but regardless: The rule states you can claim any bike for 2 x MSRP - You don't need to justify a motive - regardless of the kid's motive or not, a rule is a rule I think the absolutele brilliance of this episode is that it brings a new angle to the ethics or etiquette of claiming. No longer should claiming be considered bad taste, unethical etc. The kid makes a perfectly valid and justified point: he wanted a Star bike and knew...

If used No Toil for 15-20 years. I have never had an issue. I have about 15 filters and put a new filter in ever ride. I clean my filters ALOT and I have never had any issues at all with coverage, oil drying up or anything. Maybe once a year I’ll get a filter that separates cause of the glue but a lot of that is due to either time, handling of the filter frequently, or sometimes I get too happy on the water temp and it’s too hot and breaks down the glue. Tom Morgan has a good reputation. Had him do a 150 cylinder for me, but haven't installed/ridden yet. Search Varner on this site for a nice horror story.
