Maybe not sick but I have always liked this pic. It is me, aged around 9 years old on a TY80.

It was my second bike with gears which a local bike shop gave me to ride trial. Before this, I was riding the GT80 (which is the road going version) that my Dad had converted to trials bike.

Monument Hill Wiltshire UK, 1981. 80cc Junior class. The puff of dust on the floor is from the good old elastic start gate. Centre of the gate was the best spot where the elastic was tightest and moved quickest lol

I'm only 29, but I've always felt like the 70's had the best looking bikes, gear, and tracks. That, and the military gear the Euros ran in the 50's. And bikes from that era were works of art, second only to the board track racers of the 1910's. Back when style and function were one and the same.

My buddy lent me his good camera to take to Gatorback and I manged to get a good pic even if I had no clue what I was doing. Looks like K Dub is jumping into the pond at the bottom of the pit.


I was working in a bike shop in NC when RJ was trying to get into Nascar and he brought in his mountain bikes for me to tuneup. He brought me this poster when he came in to pick them up.
