It's not the lead making you sick. That level is less than what anyone would have had at any given time when leaded gas was the norm and isn't going to give you symptoms. However, If the ventilation is poor enough that you're bumping your lead level, you're sucking in all kinds of exhaust fumes and that's what is giving you symptoms. Most likely CO. And why are you routinely getting lead levels checked? General rule of thumb with these places is if they're heated, they aren't ventilated well enough.

This bike hasn’t been updated since it was introduced in 2006, and it wasn’t competitive then. It is essentially a play bike. If your kid is just looking for a fun bike to play around on, it is great. If he’s looking to be competitive in the Supermini class, you need to look elsewhere.

That's not actually a viable solution. The current YZ250 has had the same gearbox since 1999, with the exception of a ratio change (different part number) to 2nd gear. The two stroke has a weak gearbox. 3rd gear on the main shaft moves to engage dogs with 3rd and 4th gear... Those gears are prone to failure. The failure is a loose feeling when shifting, false neutrals and jumping out of gear under extreme loads (like jump faces). I replace the entire gearbox in my YZ250s with YZ450F parts from 2006 - 2009. You get the same ratios with four...

I’ve been on YZ250 2 strokes since 2008, probably 7 or so bikes. I sell them after I put about 100 to 150 hours on them (2 or 3 years). I had tranny failures on every one. Usually get 75 hours or so between failures and usually it is the dogs on third gear get rounded and it pops out of gear, a couple times it was a broken gear tooth. I’m an older vet rider, 63 now, but love to ride. BelRay Gearsaver oil helped. I fix them myself.

I've been around them quite a bit lately. I think they are really good as a training tool or moving from stacyc. In regards to racing I was at a large round last weekend and yes they lumped them in the larger ebike class against e5s which I thought was wild. I've also been at races where they have been allowed to compete against pws and they stood zero chance. Even an extremely tight track they are slighter faster out of the corner but get walked on any straight. As much as I love electric bikes for kids Id recommend...
