We stopped doing local races simply because of gate cost and race entry fee cost vs. time on track. To get more classes in promotors cut moto time to 6-7 minutes. That's way less than the 15 plus it ought to be. There's no reason promoters can't time races (after 12 minutes leader gets white flag the next time by)...

C4mx does a great job, and is always reachable. Our C4MX motor is better in all respects than our PC motor. The PC motor had the flowed head, cams, valves, ignition, etc done to it. The C4MX motor is substantially quicker and more powerful. The PC bike was a 13 and the C4MX bike a 14 KX250f.

My ten year old racer climbed off his 85 this weekend onto a friends 150. After 20 minutes he came back and said "sell the 85s". I couldn't agree more. A race weekend is easily $300 if you run three classes. For each class you get 4-5 2 minute laps per moto. For all races above a 50cc class, that's a sprint, it's not MX.
