vet323 Liked a forum topic Webb for Roczen

After following all the multiple threads about Saturday's race, I have a question for all of you offended by Wilson holding up Roczen: Do any of you think that if the positions had been reversed that Webb would have followed anyone for 1.5 laps? I watched a couple times, Wilson wasn't "blocking" Roczen in the sense that he was changing lines to hold him up. He was riding his normal line, KR was riding right behind him and made no real attempt to get around or move him out of the way. Can anyone imagine Webb doing that for a...

Lots of amazing runs, but nothing beats Ricky Carmichael not losing a single national overall from the Washougal '03 National in July of that summer to the Hangtown National in May 2006... He won 27 overalls in a row. And his career MX winning percentage, 102 wins in 127 starts, .803% winning rate over ten years, will never, ever be matched. Like Michael Jordan once said about his own dominance, Scoreboard. DC Racer X

Easy: RC in '02 and '04, Stewart in '04 and '08. Honorable mention to Herlings in 2018, almost.

RE Bogle: I know he had a bad run at the end of 2017. Hard crash at MEC, I think he was accidentally cross jumped. Then another one I think due to a mechanical failure not long after. He did a podcast with Jason Weigandt at the end of 2018 (or early 2019). If I can find it I’ll link it. EDIT: I think Justin Bogle talks about his concussions in both of these. I'm going to listen to them again, he's a pretty good interview and a guy with a much bigger view on life than your average pro...

View this post on Instagram I had a long, weird, and confusing 4 months off the bike after Glendale. Then the first day I got back on the bike I realized how much I love the most simple stuff like riding, competing and chasing a goal. It’s all I’ve ever really known. When I had no one to tell me what to do or where to be all I really wanted to do was train and ride again. Funny how your perspective can change during those soul searching moments. Life isn’t supposed to be simple or easy, but it is...

Thanks man, I'm doing much better. I agree 100% after going through this, head injuries are not understood by anyone who has not had a significant concussion. The first two weeks were really dark. I have zero memory of the day of the crash, and the next 4-5 days were pretty foggy. Had a difficult time initially with noise overload, and the combination of bright light and background noise would completely overload me. My first short walk outdoors went fine until I hit a road with more traffic and then I was unable to cope with the noise. Crazy. Also...

I agree with you. A person that has never suffered a moderate to severe head injury doesn't get it. You explained the most common symptoms very well. I too have had multiple concussions, and two were loss of consciousness. All from the military overseas though, none from MX. But they're all somewhat similar. Head injuries are very complex and confusing...

In my opinion, people in this sport massively underestimate head injuries. Hope you're good bro.

You'll be fine. Just stay in your line and have as much awareness of other riders around you as you can. If the owner of the track your riding splits the practice sessions by riding experience that can be a positive thing. Depends on how you look at it and what mood your in that day, I guess. But there...

Just to reiterate, I’m not concerned with riding trails it’s the track as I’m getting some mixed opinions from some people. I actually spoke with the owner of a track and he seems to think I should go for it and that I would have a blast.

What’s up everybody, yea so the title pretty much sums up my question. I’ve been thinking about purchasing a bike to ride trails locally as well as looking to try riding at a few local and near distance tracks. I’ve been kinda picking peoples brains as to wether I’m chewing off more than I can handle considering my age and lack of experience on a dirt bike. I’ve owned a 450 sport quad for a few years and a sport bike. I figured maybe a forum like this would be a good place to seek criticism or encouragement. im not...

The guys here, on Facebook, instagram, etc. who talk shit saying he needs to retire... Obviously have never had a passion for anything in their fuckin lives. If he wants to race, he should race. The kids who can't beat him for a qualifying spot can continue to be embarrassed by someone twice their age. I'm guessing he's back for a handful next year then 1 or 2 in 2022 to qualify at 40.

Obviously the West is deeper this year, but I think people are also forgetting that Marchbanks and Jordan Smith are out right now. The East looks weaker than it actually was this year.

i think people forget how amazing Reed was on that YZ 250, i remember watching him track down and pass Ricky so many times back in 2003 and 2005. he always raced against the absolute best of the best and he held his own and at times was THE man. i definitely got a little choked up, great segment they put together for him. also, Ellie was in the stands to watch the race, not just for a TV segment.
