Danny Barnett here...I grew up racing motocross...i love it...

A while back I crashed practice riding, broke my back, and now I spend most of my time in a wheelchair. Its not so bad, I mean, I get great parking, never have to wait in line and girls dig it…haha…actually I just live life the only way I know how...just like everyone else. Being in a chair can be a pain in the ass, but we all go through tough times and that is what makes us who we are. They say what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger...you can bet I am strong.

I still love the dirt and race off road buggies now...i went back to school after my accident and became an occupational therapist/hand therapist...life is good

Everts rode what it was back in the day, it wasn’t his fault the format was like that. You could also look at it a different way and say it was possibly harder because you didn’t have a 2nd moto to regroup. It was shit or bust really.

Unfortunately I have to sell my entire collection. My girlfriend is selling them on her ebay account. I have every single mxs made from 2000-2010. Also every hot wheels moto they came out with during that time. 66 plastic tubs full of diecast dirt bikes. I had this awesome idea to build a moto game room with all the bikes...

Could it just be natural? I raced with Tony Alessi way back in 1981-82 and every time he got the biggest holeshots. I’m talking bike lengths on everyone. I can’t remember a race he didn’t holeshot. So there you go it’s inherited 😂

so I was winning a +25A class moto at Winchester speed park on a Cannondale and I feel something hitting my leg, and I think to myself this pos is gonna shit the bed and im wining and then I think is it gonna die on a jump and kill me, well I finish , won the moto and when I get off the track I found I had a wrench in my pocket (I was wearing baggy gear) so my weirdest mechanical failure was that I won on a CANNONDALE it finished!

My older bro raced that day, he fell and the bike laid down before him and he came falling down on it and took a footpeg to the "taint"!! He did not walk right for 3 weeks...and we got it all on video LOL

He’s still young, let the kid race bikes he’s still eligible to without criticizing him. I can make comparisons too. Ricky Carmichael, who is/was arguably the best ever, raced 85’s until he aged out and didn’t turn pro until he was 17, to which he then began racing in the 125 class.
