I posted the following in the Kickass 2 Stroke thread a while back. It's not exactly a supermini but more like a very trick mini bike.

-1991 KX80 BW frame, modified to accept newer plastics
-1991 KX125 engine
-KX125 forks
-2009 KX100 swingarm
-KX125 front hub, rotor, and caliper
-Honda CRF450 rear master brake cylinder
-Modified 2007 YZF450 carbon fiber skid plate
-Honda CR85 clutch and throttle cable
-Modified 2003 KX125 lower fork guards

That right here is one of the top 5 "superminis" i have ever seen (with a couple DMCs, and probably a few others).

I didn't see it in the other thread so as big fan of superminis thanks for posting !

I know, it is not technically a supermini with this engine, but I am in love with the fork swap !

That bike must be crazy fast.

Is it true is cost twice as much to build a 112 than a 105?
No. The only difference is a stroker rod to get the additional cc's.

Would love to see a top mini rider race that thing around!

My little brother had a CR85 expert dad got small wheels and he ran it as a regular 85 until he was bigger then the wheels went back on it. I don't think he ever raced it with super minis he got hurt and that was the last of minis. That thing was fun to ride with big wheels though when I was about 40 pounds lighter.

I always thought Bruce Bunch's '81 RM105 was a beautiful bike...

I rode my 80 in the 105 class. Another race so why not? I wonder if Kehoe, Holland et al rode big bores in the class?

Until the year 2000 you were aloud to run 80cc wheels on your 60cc bike and 125cc wheels on your 80cc bikes in the Netherlands. All changed when the bikes went to 65 and 85cc’s. Even though they were strange rules it brought some crazy bikes. Loads of 60cc engines in 80cc frames etc. Was all cool and games until you had to change your wheels because your kid had a chance to ride some European Championships and the rules were different again.

We had a 10” wheel 80cc class for a while. That made for some weird bikes too. YZ 80A Noguchi 10” wheels and Tarbo with YZ 80 engine. Class was intended for Honda Dax, Gemini etc. but they were too slow.
