I’m torn about how I feel about chiz being in it.. didn’t he make every main this year? Just won a 250 heat race too which is awesome.. I get that he is a full privateer, (when he isn’t on the best 250 team there is) I just feel he is a league above the rest.

So what Craig has been in the class longer than the kids. Until 2021 he had 1 career win. Last year he was fast and won a few times but suffered what looked like a lack of fitness and some mental breakdowns that kept him from the title. This year he has the total package and is for the first time ever is the top guy in the class. I am not even a Craig fan, I was all in for Colt to win last year. making the leap practically unjumpable is like GH not going up the hills for a national. what the fuck were they thinking?

From a guy that’s hung on that fence with the the other wacky spectators, from first practice on, for most of the last 30+ years, (did miss this year) -The Leap and it’s very screwy run-up configuration, need attention. Fans don’t come from the world-over to NOT see riders clear Red Bud’s landmark launch. Most of the 450 riders and a handful of skinny, talented, 250 riders should be able to routinely and “safely” huck it. I’m guessing that 100 percent of the spectators and 90 percent of the racers want to make this happen. When one of the worlds...

I liked it this year. The big jump should be hard, and it shouldn't be doable every lap. Plus it gave the inside and outside similar times.

I kinda liked that there were so few that made the leap. The reason for it being difficult seemed to be a combination of a really slow corner before and the landing was tall. But i see the point that some would like it to be easier. For me the optimal would be that pretty much the top 15 450 riders can make it and only a handful of 250 riders can make it

They’d moved the corner closer this year. Personally I think if they left the corner in the same location but prepped the corner so it was harder/less Sandy that would be the perfect scenario. 450’s would have to be perfect to hit it from inside but could do it from outside with ease. 250s would need a good run from outside or be a god to clear from inside. Am I making any sense?

I heard the corner before it was moved in a bit closer...and if you went wide it was soft and not ideal. It looked like RJ was thinking about doing it on the last lap (can't remember which moto) until his bike got sucked into a sandy sippy hole and made him bubble and lose momentum.

Looked like the run up was shorter. I think I liked it better when more guys were jumping it. Of course I am also one of those people that always talks about the racing being cooler when they were on 125s and couldn't do all the jumps
