The statement about firing him is absolutely crazy and in a cursory google search (since I'm not a lawyer) it seems to hit all the high notes for libel/workplace defamation if it's at all untrue, so I'm inclined to believe he did that shit and Wasserman/the Lawrences have some pretty solid evidence. I mean even if he didn't do it, I cannot believe his first move was not to retain a lawyer. If he did do it, he should DEFINITELY still be getting a lawyer. There's no way this is going to be the end of the story.

This shit is bananas, b a n a n a s. If Wasserman fired him as well, there is definitely something there but we need more facts. Wonder if we are ever getting those details

I think there's a decent chance wassermann is who did discover the issue and that's why they had no issue firing him. It wasn't like Lawrence brothers just fired him as a client. Wassermann fire mirtl and also kept the brothers despite whatever happened, which makes you think they are satisfied with their approach to all of it.

I love it, all the vitard legal experts have analyzed the case and made their decision already, just hours after this was announced. 😂 The efficiency is amazing. Who need lawyers or judges, we have the vitards.

I will wait for more facts. Both of these are bizarre. 1) Who goes on social media to fire someone, 2) who responds like that to such serious allegations?

His response is wild, in many ways. This tiny little statement, lost in all the emotion, defending himself, and other nonsense....is very telling. So, there is a "this" huh? Weird.... I'm my opinion an innocent party, IF they publicly responded at all, would just say something along the lines of "This is a false accusation and the truth will come out"

I think he meant if he would steal something he wouldn't do it on an account where missing money would be obvious because a bunch of people and controllers have access to them

Right? All the “I always knew he was blah blah” comments and I’m over here wondering what I missed. It appears to be pretty certain that the guy is a slimy thief now, but this is pretty shocking to me. Shit like this seems to usually be buried in the industry and rarely discussed. I can’t wait to see how it’s addressed on the podcasts lol

For 2 broken fingers every 10 years??? Stop it... I've used radios in practices at the races 20 years ago. It's super sketchy and dangerous. You can even hear in F1, drivers bitching to their crew when they talk to them in the wrong portions of the track. I don't think many of you raced a SX main and realize the amount of focus you need just to be safe & precise. I can guarantee you this 100%, radios are way more dangerous than pitboards

Or…pit boards work fine, the mechanics just have to be switched on. While the riders are navigating a sx track the least the mechanics can do is make sure they don’t frigging hit someone

I’m against radio comm’s, even one-way comm’s. The benefit of the pit-board is they are at one section of the track and the rider has the option to look or not. A one-way radio piece would create an unexpected interruption at an undetermined time - another variable I don’t think a rider really needs. Additionally, one of the best parts of our sport is we let the racers race. They get to showcase their skills of knowing what’s happening around them, how to set up their own race, how to gauge if another rider is faster or slower in a...

I would not want someone talking to me during a supercross race. Imagine trying to select a line going into a corner already thinking ahead to having to hit the 3 perfect to be able to do the 4 after and suddenly someone pops on and says "try the left side of the whoops", or "Tomac just hit the quad in segment 2". I just don't think I'd want my mind processing that information at that moment. I also don't think limiting the comms to the start straight is feasible. I like philG's idea of backing the pit boards up...

To be honest, I don't think it would be good for the sport. We will start with "keep your position because the rider in front of you is......", a lot of math will happen in the pits and racing will be boring. Once you open this door, you'll never close it back. I agree with the safety side but even if race director talk to all riders about a hazard or red flag, it will depend at what each rider is doing during this message (entering whoops is not the same as in the air of an easy double/single). Just...
