“How to lose your reputation forever in one race”. By jett lawrence

This 100%

If Jett dropped out then his entire team and family would’ve been like what the fuck are you doing bro you have a title to fight for!? Jett would have had a much more difficult time bullshitting all of those people and the rest of the world in that scenario. The best way to throw the race and avoid scrutiny was to get a terrible start. But Hunter screwed that up, ironically, and needed a second bail out which is what made it look so bad. Jett not only got an uncharacteristically horrendous start in the biggest race of the...

This is Jett Lawrence we are talking about brother, not me or you. The same Jett who has had minimal movement in his ankle all year and never got 11th place. But if you wish to continue believing he didn’t throw it, so be it…

Your trying too hard to convince others (and yourself) Jett didn’t throw the race ( lame insults too )….We will never know for sure, but it appears more likely he did throw the race, than not..

Nobody wants it to be a conspiracy, people are just trusting what they saw with their eyes. 🤷🏻 Jett with his bum ankle was waxing everyone all year not named Hunter, you really expect us to believe he rode around outside the top 10 cause he had a bad ankle? It was bad all season.

Ppl trying to say its tinfoil hat territory when both james and weege were even saying jett was waiting for hunter until they realized they needed to stfu about it on the broadcast. It was obvious. I’m as big a jet fan as they come but everybody saw what we saw. Jetts plan was clearly to just get a shit start so he could race forward as normal and end up behind hunter, but then hunter in true hunter form managed to blow it at the last race for the 20th time in a row by following 1mm behind the...

I know that was a bit rough. Weege was thinking...um...right...

jett will tell the truth when he's in his 50s and nobody cares anymore. He threw the start figuring that would ice the deal for Hunter, but then he straight looked right at him in the turn then just rolled around...until he looks back, sees Hunter, and wicks up a bit to look realistic. Game over. I get why he did it and I don't really care either way, but it's plainly obvious to anyone watching. Hell, the broadcast just stood around with their jaws agape because it was so obvious no matter how they try to spin it. You...

Not anything against Hunta at all. It was painful to watch Jett, and they kept the camera on him a lot. Jett got his first "bad" start after qualifying great. Struggled to even put in a decent lap for half the moto, then picked up the pace when Hunter was by. But didn't take too many spots in the first moto. The 2nd moto was a lot easier for Jett "to manage" since Hunter and him were together from the beginning. So the part about letting the top couple go and then cruise it with Hunter behind didn't have to...

I'm happy Hunter won. I wanted him to win. But all you guys who think Jett didn't let Hunter win (today and last week) are just fooling yourselves. I actually don't think there is anything wrong with Jett doing this. He obviously cares a lot about his brother and has plenty of titles already. Deegan falling in front of Hunter just made the mission more difficult for Jett to pull off. No different from team tactics we often see, but this was just 'Team Hunter'.

He said he exposed some weird antics by taking out Hunter.

What did he say? I checked out pretty much after moto one.

The fanboys w/ DDS always expose themselves lol. You have to be one if you actually think Jett didn’t make sure his brother won this championship. Ever since Hunter had that DNF, Jett has had really bad starts & not riding like he knows how to ride. I like Hunter & wanted him to win, but I’m not so blinded by the facts just because I like a guy that Im going to ignore what we all just watched.

If feels weird if this is Eli's last race to not talk to him. I realize he didn't podium, but a cold sendoff if he never races outdoors again.

It’s clear that Jett did not put in his best in the first moto. In the second he probably did. But if you WANT to win and you see your main competitor on the ground the first lap you sprint as much as you can. Not drop an anchor, looking backwards in every turn and ”race” with riders you normally lap. Then an hour later with some tape on your foot you can all of a sudden podium and run a decent pace again?. He looked as fine with this result today as he did going in to this weekend...

This feels so much like Eli's championship in 2020... he crossed the line to silence, and let out a "whoo!" it echoed in an empty stadium. Hunter won, but it feels weird as fuck considering it's arguably the worst race of both their careers. Won with a whimper instead of a scream? I was really hoping to see them push each other out front. I was about to 100% buy into Jett waiting for Hunter then racing for it "straight up", but when Hunter just left him... what? If Jett was going to just let him have it, there were...

Cole still sitting there with his podium goggles on😂 He had no further plans after winning the championship today.

Not the celebration that screams I won…..

Can't remember a more disappointing finale to a close championship battle. Roll on MXDN
