As @mxrose3 said, simplest way to put it is the engine doesn’t feel as free. If the new RMZ ever comes out, they’ll need to make other internal changes to compensate.

the extra gears add weight to the flywheel, and increases its effect. Some other manufactures have re-weighted the crank halves to compensate for it.
