Because it can make the race sound more interesting then it may be at times. Most of us know that it doesn't reflect the speed of the guys in front who are being safe but I do enjoy hearing they are the fastest on the track because it tells me they are moving up and trying to catch whoever's in front of them rather than settling. Also, it may give an unexperienced viewer the idea that there's hope to still catch the leader, kind of like when they get excited on the last lap and say it's not over yet...

Ricky is doing a lot better this season, he doesn’t bother me at all anymore. I can tell he’s worked on it this offseason and I can respect and appreciate that.

I came on MT a year after pay to play, and I'm not sure that losing the posters it lost dinged the board that much. There was a pretty big cohort of FreshDirt and MotoDrive posters who wore that badge proudly and had their say about it, Rich Cain leading the pack. Steve also was a pretty rigorous moderator at dinging people, even if they paid, for things Steve didn't like, including if they made life difficult for him in the industry while he was the moderator. I have a blank canvas, I'm hoping to concrete the floor, insulate the walls, fit and electric door. Then fit it out for working on my bikes. Hopefully a TV and a beer fridge so I can go out there and watch mx/sx in peace. I'm also looking forward to seeing others workshops for inspiration.

It is weird how many friends I have made from the moto boards. Just last week I stayed with Dr. Mark in Tucson. I’ve met a lot of you guys and it is crazy how it is like we have been friends for years. Pretty crazy ok when you think about it.

Brad McDonald is the owner of Vital MX and Vital MTB. He was the original guy behind Transworld Motocross, was the group publisher of the Transworld media group, and founded Ride BMX magazine in 1992. GuyB was the original Content Director for Vital MX during its inception in 2006 to the later stages of 2021. I worked at Vital MX from 2014 to the very beginning of 2019. I came back in late 2021 to take over the Director role.

I’m in the camp of I’d rather not hear either of them on the podium. They’re both cringey for different reasons. On a side note I find myself completely tuned out on 250s this season so far. It’s not even just that one guy is running away as much as it’s just kinda boring all the way through the pack. Or at least what’s been televised anyway. Feel like the East/West split has run its course. I’d much rather see the best on 250s race every weekend.

Who said friends? Or success? No one respects him enough to even give credit where credit is due.
