I had both a 1974 and 1975 Elsinore. Here I am at Saddleback in 1975 on my Elsinore.

I'm not local but I would be interested if you decide to sell. You should really keep it because one day you will have more time and it would be cool to race the bike you mom raced.The vintage scene is a lot of fun.

You should race it. The vintage scene is a lot of fun, and that would be a cool story racing the same bike your mom raced. Definitely don’t sell it. You will regret it if you do.

Yeah. It was my tank. Gary never disclosed they were going to destroy my original tank to pattern the repops. Later he told me he would get me a nice original tank. That was a few years ago now. Still nothing even though I have asked a few times. Yeah, I'm bitter.

Thanks! That pic was taken at a track in Big Spring Texas, summer of 75. I was racing that bike and a 75 Bultaco 360 pursing in the Open class, hence the Bultaco jersey!

Thats why moto was so popular back then. That thing is so bad ass, even compared to brand new bikes. There is no way someone could see that and NOT want to ride it.

Lots and lots of parts for these old Elsinore's still available and they dominate the 125 classes in the AHRMA National MX series. A pic of my 1997 AHRMA Sportsman 125 expert national title winning 74 125. Just sold a box stock 74 125 a few months ago for 2K. Still have parts to build another complete 125 also have a restored 73 250.

Everything is stock except the carburetor and that was put on in 1975 from Northwest Honda in Houston because they say the stock carb was no good.
