Until a foreign rider does a misstake, then the true colors of most of the fans shine through. Remember the Ferrandis - Craig incident, that was a clear race incident. yet Ferrandis were booed the rest of the season, called names etc. Not even Vince get the kind of heat a foreign rider gets when a small situation happens.

So I think Jett acted like a 12 year old after the race, however, if you are a star and you show your ass on saturday night, if I was your agent, I wouldn't let you near your social media afterwards with a 12 foot pole... I get the team making a post for him, Jett doesn't need to be on socal this week. A call or text to JA directly might have smoothed things over better though sounds like.

In my opinion Jett has some growing up to do, but we have to remember he is still a kid at 18/19 and to hold this against him is indefinitely would be silly. 90% of us did some stupid and embarrassing shit like this when we were young, we then probably handled it terribly after and just ignored the situation like Jett is. Luckily for us we didn’t have a whole sport watching our every move, a multi million dollar race team expecting us to win a race against the baddest men on the planet and the expectation to act...

To clarify, it's not because we want to be buddies. It's because our sport is so small, if I ask a question that a rider or team doesn't like, then we can easily be shut down from talking to those rides and teams. It's happened and then you get little to no content. We are not a sport like the NFL or NASCAR. We have to report accordingly. There's a fine line in this sport and whether it's right or wrong, I like to have access to the teams.

I like threads like this, because I/we can always be better. On the subject matter: I know that I do that. Sometimes it's by design to get a more pointed answer and others it's a mistake. I want my interviews to be thought provoking. If a rider has to stop and think about their answer then I'm kind of happy, haha. I try to keep my questions short. The question that I asked Tomac on press day that was three words was the most powerful.
