iampkrfn Started a new thread 3/4 mile long track?

Any math whizzes on here? Speed's Indy track facts claim it's .75 miles long, my quick math (5th grade level) tells me that means a 53 second lap time or so equals somewhere around a 50 mph average speed. I'd guess someone just threw a number on that graphic without really thinking about it. ....or maybe these guys are going...

iampkrfn Started a new thread Anybody know what Reed's "belt" was for?

1st moto at Millville, CR had what looked to be tape or a Ace bandage wrap that was around his waist outside his pants. It was hanging off for most of the race, looked like the old fix (duct tape) for a broken belt on his pants - but I doubt Thor would send him out with that brand-new ugly...

iampkrfn Started a new thread One for Lenny......

I thought Lenny might like this question from a quick interview I did with RC at the truck race in Milwaukee this weekend. You can see more of it on MT. Ok, this one might be a tough question and you don't have to answer it if you don’t want to - I remember reading somewhere that you said James...

He clearly must be paid according to the number of times he says "no doubt about it" and "I'm tellin' you", because he sure spits those phrases out pretty often. At a dime per instance, by my calculations he has made over $13,000 this season so far.

So....did Mike deny ANYTHING Matthes said? Steve expressed an opinion and relayed some things he's heard about. Mike obviously doesn't agree with the opinion (get rid of Dad) - what's the big deal? Seems to me MA did nothing but exactly what most of us expected - defend his program. He didn't argue Steve's claims about the contract breaches, did...

To draw the closest comparison from a MX standpoint, look at how the careers of RC and JS were handled by their families. A little different, yet similar to each other (at least from the outside looking in). A tremendous amount of sacrifice and money spent during the amatuer years (some would contend Tony was by far the best equipped...

Name 1 NFL "prodigy" (high draft pick) that has their parent(s) as their manager/trainer/agent once they turn pro - and several years afterward. I stand by what I typed, most parents do step back when the kid goes "pro". Sure, they are still involved in his life and offer advice, but run the show - no. I'm not accusing Tony...

Great thread! Tony (whether he is AAA or not) needs to take a look at how other "prodigys" have been handled. Lots of kids grow up being groomed for whatever profession their parents decide to steer them to. Lots of money is spent, special training/schooling, etc is done....and then the kid moves on to the big time, whether it's the...

I posted that at MT, pretty sure he used a Go Pro. Ryan hauls at that track (well, everywhere actually). Pine Ridge is moto heaven when it is groomed - see pic below.

Very cool of James to spend a day with the fans. Definitely can't see Reed doing something like that after some of the things I've witnessed at the races. I had to take some Dramamine after watching that vid, though.

So you're convinced he SAID he was a better racer than James or was it that he disagreed with his orignal quote stating the James was faster? Just curious because he did neither. I'm not saying that I don't think he believes he's the better racer, just that he didn't say that. How could you dispute it if he did...
