You must see different words than the rest of us, because that's what he said.

So you're convinced he SAID he was a better racer than James or was it that he disagreed with his orignal quote stating the James was faster?

Just curious because he did neither.

I'm not saying that I don't think he believes he's the better racer, just that he didn't say that.

How could you dispute it if he did think he was the better racer? He beat JS for every championship they ever raced, yet was admittedly "slower" than JS. How else you think he did it?

C'mon Paul. Carmichael literally blew the pants off of Stewart in National Motocross, and most of the world knows it. Because it was evident..

Now Supercross, James was consistently a little bit faster, and in SX a little bit is enough. James was thus better at SX.

But to wrest Carmichael's statement into a universal abdication of his own unparalleled dominance is almost humorous. Smile But hey, it's all you got in the RC vs JS bout, so I won't blame you.

I would agree with that except for one thng - it isn't true. Throughout the 2006 & 2007 season, RC posted the fastest laps outdoors over 90% of the time, a fact that caused the Stewart camp to recycle and eventually run out of excuses.

It was a great season(s).

I think James may have been a little too young to beat RC Outdoors back then.

I had the pleasure of watching James and Ricky duke it out at Budds Creek a couple of years ago, James took moto 1, Ricky moto 2 for the overall after chasing James for 3/4 of the race.

Now, don't flame. I'm not into the Ricky vs. James argument. They are both phenomenal, that race change my perspective of fast. Very fast track, Ricky and James going at it, incredible!

However, there certainly was no "Carmichael literally blowing the pants off of Stewart".

Nor was this true for the entire season. James made Ricky a better racer, I've seen interviews where Ricky admitted he had to step up his game to win over Stewart. And this was when James was new to the 450 class.

Ricky is fuckin' incredible, but put the bias aside and just think about what actually happened. Racing would've been incredible if Ricky didn't retire for sure. The both of them are off the planet. Fan of both, like James just a little bit better for what he's done in such a short time.

And forget the Noob bullshit. I've been riding since some of you who throw that bullshit around have been in diapers.
