12/13/2024 6:47pm I'm still smoking an '89 and it's my most fun bike to ride. Nothing beats the sound of a wringed out crisp 125.

Brent Liked a reply to forum topic Interesting Video on the current So Cal Moto Scene
12/12/2024 6:04am ...I can't even go to any SoCal track on a Saturday or Sunday, as they are packed to the gills with riders. I ride during the week, and every So Cal track I ride at still gets a couple hundred riders even on a Monday or Tuesday - Moto is FAR from dead in Southern California. In most cases we have noise complaints, mismanagement, and insurance problems that close these tracks and prevent new ones from opening. So I have a question - Ski resorts have lots of injuries and a few deadly ski accidents each season, and are still...

10/31/2024 6:26am I went to Cal Poly in the 90s. Cal Poly is mostly an Ag and Engineering school. The Ag curriculum included tractor driving. In the 1980s, the tractor class instructor would have his students build a motocross track as part of their "classroom exercises". Then the University's motorcycle club would get a weekend of riding on campus. I just missed out on this, having started there in 93'. In the 90s the only motocross tracks in the area that I could ride at were private. Beau Baron's place is where I rode. Jerome Law's place too. I never went but...

10/4/2024 6:27am Good grief, it is an international, collaborating economy all companies live in now. I applaud Triumph's efforts and will be first in line to get an off road model. The whole it's a black KTM is as stale as week old bread and about as easy to stomach. Why can't we be happy another great brand is building dirt bikes? This is why we lose trails and tracks, we eat our own, we do not support our own sport like ATV, Snowmobile, Equestrian, or Mnt Bike riders. Dirt bike riders shit on anything new, SMX, WSX, Triumph, the Chinese, and...

9/24/2024 12:25pm Got some more seat time on my 25 450 yesterday. It's REALLY good. Bottom end and midrange seem barkier than my 23. Chassis is definitely more stable but the fork bottoms easier than the last gen. I might just add a little fork oil to see if that helps before going to stiffer springs. Question - Does anyone make precut...

AMetts Liked a reply to forum topic If BMW made a motocross bike, would you buy it?
9/9/2024 6:52am The BMW enduro bike had some cool stuff but wasnt quite a success by any means, the BMW owned Husqvarnas were actually great dualsports and still are. The ultimate BMW "dirtbike" was the HP2, they didn't make many and are hard to find and a nice one still sells for $20k+, I think it was over 100hp and 80lbs of torque big boxer motor.

9/9/2024 6:50am Let’s not pretend that it takes a wizard to make a motocross bike. We’re talking about a company with a century of experience and the wherewithal to hire the right talent if they wanted to. I’m not saying that they want to now, but if you doubt they could, take a look at what Ducati is doing. These Euro OEMs are seeing some value in developing high performance 4stroke singles for the world market and they are using MX as a way to promote their brand.
