the 87 felt more solid, but the 86 had great suspension. the 87 was a higher up the rpm range power band and depending on what type of riding u do on it will depend on which to get. if u do more open riding like desert get the 87, motocross the 86

I had one but couldnt ride it without crashing,. couldnt figure out how the clutch worked. thought u had to open the throttle full blast then pop the clutch to get it moving, and that was a scary thing to try

actually having played/playing it at the highest levels for years, it is pretty tiring, mentally, kinda like doing physics problems for hours on end, but most motocross guys dont know math that well so they wouldnt know.
