1987 rm 125

Hey guys,going to look at a 1987 rm 125 on thursday. if i pick it up, do you know of anyone that sells a seat cover for this model? the guy told me it needs a cover because its torn up and its going to need a bore job or resleeved. i thought these were nickasil coated sleeves and they cant be bored. any feed back on this would be very helpfull. thanx.....

hey guys,called the kid on the 87 125,and he already sold it. oh well, something else always pops up. thanx for all the feedback.

Good thing you missed buying it.

Those 87s had a weird Crank and Impeller set-up
The right end of the crank was actually the Impeller shaft too.
Those shafts would groove up and they will leak water.
No such thing as replacing the shaft...
You'd have to replace the whole crank.

Or have a machine shop sleeve the shaft.
Either way... big pain

i hoped off my 86 cr 125 and onto an 87 rm 125 (back in 88) and almost died on the RM, the brakes were so bad, i braked where i normally would on the honda and learned the suzuki cant stop as fast, and almost died, and always knew why RM riders would get passed so easily. u might want to check out the brakes !

I had an 88 RM125 and it was the slowest bike I ever rode. I don't know about the 87 though.
