I bought a new 2011 CRF450X, they where leftover 2009’s, as a second bike for offroad use. It was so much heavier and slower then my 2010 CRF450R that I rode on the track. Couldn’t get on terms with it.

I would go for this more complete set. You can’t use the torque wrench. For straightening wheels or loosening spokes. You can use the solid wrench and still use the tips. These have a better fit on the nippels. The more complete set also comes with the extra tip that is used on KTM’s...

Great progress in your build by the way! Try to save the old spokes and nippels, they’re will clean up great when you zink plate them..

Be sure to measure the offset of the center of your rim before you disable your old wheels. I have a excel spoke wrench. I have the wrench for 5 year now and regret not buying it 20 years earlier...

Congratulations on your new bike! Since this is your first new bike here are some tips. From the factory there often isn’t much grease in the steeringhead, pro-link and swingarm bearings. Re grease them. After a few hours check the bolds / nuts and spokes. They often come loose within a few hours of use. Maybe invest in some radiator...

No I didn’t do anything Other than degrees them. I checked the threads and heads of every bold and made a list of all the oem Bolt specs for my bike. Every worn, damaged or incorrect piece was replaced.
