That sleeve is possibly brass I imagine. It also has a slight spiral cut into it to channel grease. I have just been replacing the seals and so far not noticed excessive play.

Cameron is a good dude no doubt. I have known about those 3M pads when I rebuilt the 95. They make a massive difference.

It came out great Brian. Awesome job.
I do think the earlier style does indeed look great. Good for you taking it out and running it.

RMC has an instructional video for wheel building, I watched it a few times before I laced my first wheel...good luck!

It’s much easier than most think Brian.
Those videos were enough for me. I did use anti seize on all my spoke nipples.
Take your time and don’t try to rush it. Small incremental tightening. Just by following the video I really did not need to do much adjusting to pull it one way or another.
I have done 4 rims now.
That’s some quality stuff. Smart purchase.

Oh I see you went with a standard 19 rear. For the 2 other 95s I have I will go 18”. Just easier for me going forward.

Do I need a spoke torque wrench? My main concern is getting the pokes the right amount of tightness. My Dunlop MX33 came in too. I thought about stacking some supports under the r while I lace it that are the correct height for the offset.

Great progress in your build by the way!

Try to save the old spokes and nippels, they’re will clean up great when you zink plate them..

I would go for this more complete set. You can’t use the torque wrench. For straightening wheels or loosening spokes. You can use the solid wrench and still use the tips. These have a better fit on the nippels. The more complete set also comes with the extra tip that is used on KTM’s...

I have the rear rim back together. Again the red pads for my buffer from Cam at Pryme MX do a great job!
