No real need to explain. Just "Gatorback" says all you need to say... but for those unfamiliar, blue clay, white clay, red clay, limestone, sand, and peat. Just the most unholy mix of shit you've ever seen and it turns into concrete once dry and absolutely ruins everything on your bike.

The hay is fine IMO. I've had hay bales stacked on a trailer under a shelter for 3 years and they are still just fine. I'd actually prefer hay as opposed to concrete pipe or similar as the hay could give way if ruts go through.

It was really long. Thankfully I watched it a s a replay on Youtube so I skipped the filler junk but it seemed like a really long break before the 450 finals. Beyond that, it was pretty solid, especially for a 1st event.

Hard to beat the old Hi Point boots with the metal shin. They were light, comfortable, and lasted forever. I think Alpinestars makes a version now. Other than that, the AXO RC2 boots were excellent.

I'm assuming it will be possible to have 2, #1 plates on the track then?
